If You Think Of A Good Name, Should You Buy the Boat To Fit The Name?

I have a mermaid cushion T for this
The second I saw this clump of mahogany on ebay I thought. Mmmm, Meet “LUMPY”! I loved the name so much I thought. mmmm again.. Thats a fun story. She belonged to actor Frank Bank, who used some of his mula from the first season of Leave it to beaver to buy this boat. And named it LUMPY of course. Hey I cant make this stuff up. Or at least make it believable. Okay, how about this story. She just looks like a Lump of wood.

LUMPY!
Now the name adds some humility and charm, thus makes it a fun boat with the gals. Throw Pizza and milkshake parties. Stuff Cheese sticks. Trust me the boat will keep you all afloat.

Twin K’s alone worth the 999 price

Love the twin engine fun
So the question is? With no reserve, what’s it worth to have a great story because of a fun name? $999? Maybe? You delivering it on that cool trailer? CLICK HERE FOR THE EBAY LISTING!
Got a better name?

It even has a special place for your DUMPY’s? WOW, so sorry.
Restomod it – cut it in half horizontally – there’s a 25′ sportsman in there somewhere.
The Semi Enclosed is a really cool boat, but it would be a huge project.
Lumpy wouldn’t have had as much fun naming it if he used his given name; Clarence.
Of course, if Theodore Cleaver had named it “The Beaver”, that would have been about as hilarious as naming it My Woody.
That head appears to be a pump overboard type, a big no-no in the eyes of the Coast Guard. Remove it and install a proper environmentally sound one. Save the old one for a hilarious punch bowl at your next party.
Lumpy is perfect. No need changing the name with a little history like that. Good luck, Lumpy!
I’m too old to add it to my list of things to do. 10 years ago I would have owned it.
Jim stole my comments verbatim !!!!
If you have a lot of money you never want to see again, restoring this thing would be a great project to take on!
Ha! I am right with Jim Staib…but now that I am not buying any green bananas …nope…I pass.
Cool boat though.
Eddie is pretending to be asleep in his seat behind Lumpy…actually he is planning his next a– kiss…the twerp!
Serious Hurricane…pray for our fellow boaters down there.
John in Va.

Chris-Craft flathead 6s have CCW tachometers. Chris-Craft V-8 and Chrysler flathead 6s are clockwise.
oh. DAM, trhats right.. A vote for Sweet Pea is a vote for.. Well. An old Trawler on Lake Tahoe
“Backwards Tach?!?”
Maybe yours are all backwards!! Not everything works like clockwork.. (hey that’s a good pun)
Here is ours….
Shopping for our 1st boat in the early ’90s & wanted a tournament skiboat. Saw an ad for a brand new Hydrodyne at a healthy discount, likely because it was this color. My mind immediately went to “life size Barbie boat!”. Call it “Bouy Chaser” or “Bouy Crazy”. Perfect name, but more inappropriate & embarrassing than I could handle. Did not buy! Do not regret. Bought a used, very classy looking, dark blue & white Supra Bravura instead.
I think who ever buts it, should also buy a 40 Ford coupe to pull it with. Just like Lumy drove in the show.
It looks like it sold. Anyone know where it’s going? I am also curious about the final bid price.
