It’s Official, I Am Already Climbing The Walls.

I call this, On Golden Wall – The hats are all gifts from shows attended. I have a box of them..
Well, it’s happened. Cold weather is here, and well, I have run out of wall space to climb, or put stuff. I swear, how did that happen. The workshop is becoming a museum of my need to collect strange crap. WTH? Like every inch. Hell I am even creating new little shelves inserted to hold the smaller crap. Yes, Crap. Much of it would be in a dumpster if I had not pulled it out and given it a home. Hey, one mans junk.. well is now my junk. I suppose it makes me happy, and treating it as art does have a certain reward. It frames it all in a different light. But the form is taking over the function, so I will be,, and have been starting to curate the stuff so it can be used and if its just display stuff? Well? Oh boy. I am not one to keep stuff that isnt being used. And yes, joy and memories are a use. So the work of work art can stay if all it does is bring joy to someone.

I had to relocate the Pipe wrench exhibit.

The parts room is jammed full of I may need that someday artifacts

The ultimate Art-afact. Arts Mobilgas sign. I am now using the ceiling

Shirts and coveralls hanging from the ceiling

tools tools and more tools

Oddly enough, I use these. Alot. I can see them quickly and 1/4 inch is still a 1/4 inch.. I think, maybe inflation has effected that as well.

The floating wall of floating well.

I am gonna need more old paint storage.

More old gallon oil tanks. I had these in the DC office and now are all together. I will most likely only display the Marine ones and move the Automotive ones? But where is that line?

I love this wall. But not as usefull as the others. It needs a purpose.. a special purpose? Anyone?
Wow, that story sure had an interesting ending!
Beautiful curating. Now the big question….who dusts?
I dust with a leaf blower!
You should charge admission to the museum. I’d pay just to see the continually changing display.
Careful about the collecting, it could turn into this…
River Rat mentioned dusting. I’ve long wondered about that, while in various places with “Cracker Barrel” style decor. Wonder if restaurants & bars use Matt’s leaf blower method?
Cool stuff to me.
Wonderful variety of woods and wood finishes.
Building 50ish to 60ish feet long – – 28ish to 30ish feet wide ??

I’m sure you can find a place for the framed shorts – or – at least hang them from the rafters somewhere… 🙂
