Feel Good Jaw Dropping Deals On Classic Boats!
If you cruise ebay as much as we do here at Woody Boater, from time to time you would have found an amazing deal on a donated boat. One of the top donated to boat folks is Rawhide -Sales. Now mind you your not going to find a Riva on there, but for a fun cheap fun boat, from time to time magic shows up, and a very magical price I might add. Like $1,400 bucks for this cool Cruisers outboard, that was sold just the other day, but if you stay on top of it, stuff pops up all the time. Like this cool Glasspar. You Can Check Out The Glasspar HERE
Or this very cool Skiffcaft! Click here to see the Skiffcraft
OK, this is a very cool 1966 Correct Craft for $900! Click here to see the Correct Craft
I spoke with Karla there at Rawhide – Sales. All proceeds, 100% go to help troubled kids and their families get back on track. They love these boats and get them in from all over the area up in Wisconsin, so they are mostly not heavily used and are all fresh water. Considering plastic is the new classic, one of these bad boys, could be a fun summer ride. For a price that won’t take you for a ride.

If we are going to talk fiberglass boats, at least the designer of these were smart enough to put the fiberglass hull on the bottom side unlike those silly things you featured yesterday!
By the way, Glasspar does not equal Glastron. We dont want to get Paul all excited about red Glastrons only to disappoint him with a Glasspar.
You mean the two brands are not on par? (groan)
Ha! Thanks for catching that, I was thinking Glastron for sure, I fixed it. Sorry Paul!
Don’t worry, Paul isnt up yet.
Now, how do I get that CorrectCraft home without the wife noticing?
Before the internet Rawhide would have one daylong auction with about 200 lots. It was held on the property in a large field. No telling what you would find. Everything from derelict cabin cruisers to decent Gar Woods. They didn’t spend any time cleaning them up so there was always a line of boats on the road leaving that had trailer problems or weren’t tied down and just fell off the trailer.
Rawhide was started by football player Bart Starr to help troubled boys.
Here’s a 46′ CC cruised currently at $450

On Rawhide Sales, look at the sport V hulls, the 18 foot Concord with the 150 Merc. Great Buy , interior wrong material, but could be put back to original. I bought the first 20 foot Concord 1984 runabout with the set back plate with a 200 hp. The 20 footer had the record time St Louis to New Orleans at he tine. Concords are well built , the owner started a BAJA.
Steve: Our lake is coming back. You think that Sea Star with a 59 hp Merc would pull skiiers ? Other than having to go a long way to get her, I don’t see how I could go far wrong. I guess I’ve got 4 days to make up my mind.
The sea star is also cool.
The Sea Star would be a perfect boat for Lake Dora and the canals. The red glass bottom wont stain from the brownish green water, there is plenty of space in the back for the photogs to stand and get their shots, and for under a grand, you can park it somewhere down there and retrieve it again next March.
Nice prices. I followed the link on the Skiffcraft .. they claim it’s fiberglass. I didn’t think they made any glass boats.
It is so below the belt, Matt, posting pics and links to cheap boats toward the end of Winter, when one’s defenses are all but depleted. If eBay were wiser, they’d have a “go ahead, buy the whole shebang right now, because you deserve it” button.
Here’s the biggest bang for the buck I’ve found in awhile. The engines alone are worth more than ten times the current bid. I’d buy this one in a heartbeat but it’s 3,000 miles away.

I’m with you Nautilus. Saw that cruiser on ebay a few days ago. Could be a beauty.
That CorrectCraft is SWEET!
A small investment in new upholstery and perhaps some engine work, and that Correct Craft would be an awesome addition to just about any collection. If I didn’t think it would lead to a divorce, I would be on the way to Wisconsin already.
So I read this story this morning at 5:30 ‘ish. I have had the Blues Brothers singing “Rawhide” in my head all day! Thanks Matt!
Thank you for the note regarding Rawhide and the great boats we sometimes have listed on Ebay. We went into a two month lull during the deepest winter months, but spring has arrived and we are in full swing with Ebay sales and boats. In recent weeks we have had only fiberglass boats listed, but this morning we listed a nice little 1954 Carver wood boat. This may be worth a look. Happy spring and best wishes to the entire Woody Boater community!
