Last Gasp Week.. Day Two.. Brrrrrr

,

Looks like Alex, McKeel and I are not alone..

Matt, it’s your 25′ Sportsman shivering!! Left it in too long several years back. Went to the local saloon to watch the football game and there were snowmobiles there too. Took 2 4X4 trucks to get it up the ramp. Thanks Jim.. Rub it in..

Here are some nice photos from Pat & Sheila Chaps on there St. Clair River Cruise up in Michigan.. These great shots were shot by George McInnis… Something tells me this was not a last gasp..

Classic Boating and Fall Colors. Does it get any better? Yes.. With stunning Aqua colored water..

Below..From fellow Woody Boater Ashley Dobroshinsky.. Thanksgiving Weekend.. October 8th.. Those crazy Canadians… A different flag, and Thanksgiving date..A perfect 4 hour cruise… nice 283 duel exhaust thundering across the water.. Ashley did admit that putting the boat on the trailer was tough in the cold water… Can some one say SHRINKAGE!

And one more! From fellow Woody Boater Martin Belcher and his tasty freshly restored pre-war Chris Craft. martin has just finished the restoration, done by the Antique Boat Center. She had her fling on there Lake home in Northern Indiana and now back to the Antique Boat Center to be tucked away and fine tuned. I personally would have left the boat in the water longer….I like my Kegs cold..
Keep’m coming.. Just think how groovy you will look out shoveling the snow in your new CAP!

    Al,
I came back from the saloon the night before and didn't cover it. Whole boat was full of snow!

These ole' WoodyBoats don't make good ice breakers. No photos (dang!) but I got a nasty gash almost a foot long through an outer plank when we took her out in February a few years ago. No ice on the river or in the harbor but the entrance was iced over. A guy on the bow pushed a large circular chunk away with a paddle but it circled back and kissed the port side enough to cut through the plank like a buzz saw. That was a costly Eagle watch day.

Jim, your bilge pump must have been very confused that day. If it could talk it would say "I don't do snow, smart a$$".
