In many parts of the country this may be your final weekend for some woody boater fun.. In celebration we here have asked Hagerty Marine Insurance to help celebrate and judge the best photo and story of the sad occasion.. Those of you in warm areas…. Don’t even think of commenting… I hope you are infested with some sort of warm winter bug… For the rest of poor slobs… Lets have some fun with this.. The big winner will be announced next week… We will be posting the stories as they come in.. shhhhh don’t tell anyone.. But if you use your boat afterwords, it’s OK.. We all understand… Special thanks go to Alexander Watson for having the idea, and Mckeel Hagerty for inspiring us all to enjoy our last run… So send in your stuff.. You can email me at Matt@woodyboater.com there is a nice stylish Hagerty Cap to one winner and the very last Woody Boater cap I just found in a box to another… Two Winners! Wow..
We enjoy getting the cruiser out on the Mississippi River in December to enjoy seeing Eagles and Pelicans but it's not cold enough this time of year to count in this.
Look forward to seeing some of the true northerners stories and photos, breaking ice to launch and retrieve their boats and scraping frost off the windshield and sunglasses.

I am glad I am not going to win. My only hard luck story is that I do not spend anywhere enough time in any boat especially my two wood boats. I do not spend enough time out there to even get into any trouble. My last boating adventure is to drive 1 hour each way to move somebody else's boat.
