Last Gasping On The Rocks

,

ICEBERG!

Long time fellow Woody Boater Dave Bortner of Freedom Boat Service, sent us in a Last Gasp from Minnesota. Yikes. And I thought I was pushing it here in Virginia. But Dave was pulling a wonderful little Rocket and had some fun with a temperature gun.

Cool!

Looks like fun!

I can feel the chill

Love these little Rockets

BRRRR

A fun reminder, that the ice man commith! Are you still refusing to accept the inevitable? And yes, we allllllll know about our Florida friends. UGH!

    Now that is Last Gasping!

Speaking of Florida: Are there any reports about docks in Tavares? I am starting to have people ask me if I know anything and I don’t. Sandi and I are not going to make the trip this year so we will unfortunately miss out regardless of the dock situation.

I also wonder about plans/ preparations in Tavares? Some of us old timers will be going regardless…but I sensed that some folks went last year out of support for the town after the hurricane trashed all the docks. Now seems to be the time we need to hear about plans for dockage this coming year. Hope some of our Sunnyland brethren check in on that soon. Rain will not stop here in Va…and the poor folks in Calif. need it so badly…

My Son David is also one that does not let a little snow or ice stop him from getting out on the water, in his case, it is for his daily row. He is out there 9 months of the year. This picture was taken behind his house Monday on Crooked Lake, Brighton, MI.
