It’s an all month celebration of one of Chris Crafts most popular boats. The 22 ft Sportsman. lovingly… or not, called the U22. Officially named a Utility from 1940-1942 and a Sportsman from 1946-1954 …..Through out the month we will be featuring some special U22’s from around the country. We have some tips on how to find the right one for your collection, what to look for and were you can find them and more importantly what you can expect to pay for one.. and how come there are 2000 Golden Pond boats out there!     Sadly, no. I have found several, but can't budge til the BB sells. The boat in the image above is amazing and I have a crush on it. I have a secret room in my garage that has all sorts of images of it, and headlines from clippings. Is that wrong. Maybe I should move on… Maybe a nice Sheperd…

    Matt, "22' Utility Munth", maybe. To be fair to the 1946-54 versions, the 1940-42 22' Utilities were really calles "Deluxe Utilities", not Sportsmans, and did not have the U-22 hull number prefix. The "Sportsman" name only applied to the 24' and 25' Sportsman, prewar.

    We tried to call it The Utility between 1940-1942 and Sportsman 1946-1954 munth, but it just did not have a ring to it… You are right, though and have corrected that
