Some Weekend Sausage

While we wait for the Clayton reports, I thought we should clean up some of this weekends lips and snouts. This way we can focus on Clayton, and then the big news out of HQ. Be prepared to be underwhelmed BTW. Anyway, enjoy a nice Monday morning.

These images came in from Syd Marsden and some very cool Hydro races in NY
The outboard races in Threasa NY near Alexandria Bay NY. They are here from a bunch of the states as far away as Florida and also Canada. There may be as many as 100 boats

FD Crocket headed home to Deltaville. Image hundreds of these working all around the Chesapeake Bay. This was how stuff got to and from there. But highways and trucks replaced it all.

DOUCHE!

Great pics. I love the “boat dog” lookout on the bow!
Yes, I am the poster child for aging trailer tires that look fine. I didn’t realize they were eleven years old. Buying a new set today for the trip home!
Tires – Recently, before heading to the Dry Rot weekend at Priest Lake, Idaho, I stopped by the local tire store to have the truck tires aired up. The young man who did that said: “You know, those tires on the back are older than I am!” I replaced the rears on the Dually the next day… 🙂
That Dually is 40 years old!
Actually, my new one is only 28 years old…
The races were great and the pictures were taken by Meachele Manchester
It was a great weekend. I was the dedicated tow boat all weekend. Used By 1956 14’ StarCraft with a 1956 15 hp Evinrude. Probably got about 20 hours run time using approx 10 gallons of gas and towed in about 20-24 boats. Only 2 flips and no injuries
Always LOVE a good sausage day!
Looking forward to seeing some good friends and meeting new ones.
Matt you can still get here for the big event!
Some good pictures. That is a nice Lyman Jeff. Matt you need to do a a story on it. Not just taking pictures of it being towed in.” It ain’t a show unless there is a tow.”
Greg it was good to see you this morning along with your “Century” Tiger Lilly. (Inside joke)
LOL!!!!
…..real time reminder (from Clayton) –

Beautiful afternoon for a boat ride!
Wonderful! I grew up in port Clinton!
Guess who – Michiganders?
Too easy! You tell from the color…
I love Tiger Lily
