Stay Cool, Look Cool, This Weekend!

Cool down in a cool Woody Boat
This is weekend its being predicted to be around 100 tomorrow. Yikes. One sure way to stay cool this weekend is to go Woody Boating. Nice fun runs on the lake or river, and stop when you get hot and use your Freedom Boat Service Ladder and cool down.

Perfect new vintage ladders for your boat
Trust us here, when its winter you will stay warm in your heart..at least with memories of the warmth of this weekend. Don’t spend it in your home, get out there, and share the warmth with all of us!

Swim a little, sit a little, smile alot! Kelsey and Jamie staying cool!
I think I might trade the wood boat for a foam noodle this weekend. If it is over 100, there is no need to be on the water when you can be in the water.
I think being on the water is preferable… at least I’d rather be on, than in.
Afraid to ask but is that a current picture or something from a horror movie? Is it maybe rising from the depths as a gift from The Lady of the Lake?
Apparently a current picture. (from a local restorer)
Been there done that.
Come on up this way. The water is still about 55 F. You won’t stay in it for long, but it sure does cool you off.
Troy:
Our noon weather report says temp in the Gulf of Mexico is 89 today. Come on back down to Florida and you can comfortably swim all day.
Go someplace where they have samples.
Heat index Saturday here on the West coast of Michigan will be 104 !!! My Son Don and I are heading out early in the Coronado to sit out in Lake Michigan and watch all the Offshore guys fly by in a 75 boat Fun Run down the coast. At 40 mph, we will catch up to them, eventually.
Helicopter taking pics and all.
it will reminiscent of the late 90’s when we were heavily involved in that style of boating, including promoting to APBA Offshore races in Grand Haven.
We used to watch those off shore racers….Often wondered how the helicopters kept from running into each other.
Getting air in the Wave Hippie, This shot was taken by my wife Ronnie off the end of the Grand Haven pier.
It will be hot this weekend in Annapolis. The water is the cleanest I have seen in 20 years. But the jelly fish are out early and plentiful….I have to get into the raft carefully to be cooled off and not stung!
Heading to Michigan for fresh water at the end of the week; I hope it stays nice there!
We are finally getting our summer out in the west! So i took a solo sunset cruise last night on Lake Whatcom, which is still quite brisk due to having such a mild spring/early summer…
