The Queens Ball At Global HQ
Last night the Railway was the setting for the event of the fall here on the Northern Neck Of Virginia. The Queens Ball, which is a big fund raiser and celebration. We did break a record of just over 100 people and she held up well. It was a wonderful event for the local community and gave folks a chance to party in some deep history of the area. Anyway, here are a small bit of photos to enjoy, somehow I have a hangover, and yet don’t drink? Splain that?

Lights

The golf carts starting showing up

Baby Gal was helping in the kitchen.

Sweet Pea was all dolled up with her crown of lights.

Skipjack was there doing her thing. Looking fantastic

The Boatress telling me to stop taking pictures

More lights

Here we go!

They arrived by car, golf cart and boat

Greeting the guests

The space was beautifully designed by the Williams Family. I just vacuumed up the dust. ALOT of dust

Buffet tables set

The most clean cloths this railway has seen in over 100 years.

The party went on into the beautiful night

The Royal Family – The Williams and the Queen of the Ball, Elle Williams

The place rocked into the night. Lots of dancing and fun by all.
Looks like a fun time was had by all!
I think my invitation must have gotten lost in the mail (Or maybe it was one of those FaceBook invites that people use these days)
Oh, and your hang over is probably just dehydration.
Wow great looking event and I’m so proud to see the Mobile Marine sign hanging in all its glory at center stage.
OMG, WoodyBoater HQ has been elevated to the snazzy events venue category. That’s why didn’t get invited Troy. No more old varnish head low lives at Reedville Marine Railway. It was fun while it lasted!
Wow, a debutante Ball at Reedville Marine Railway! , getting pretty fancy…. and is this part of your Master Plan to get new young, affluent people into woodyboating…. Brilliant !
I see this as a destination site for many events… very versatile, from boat people to socialites…
Local BnB’s will benefit as well..
Nicely Done
That’s Klassy with a capital K. Stunning!
Well done, Matt and all involved. It was definitely an amazing gala for all generations. “Sweet Pea” was in her glory!!
I totally agree with Carla, Well done to the smallest detail and Sweet Pea was in her glory and stunning.
Looks like a beautiful and amazing celebration.
Happy to see the Queen and all of Reedville’s finest out in force!
I guess this means the virtual Christmas Party is going to promote wildlife like never before. Loading up and heading out early. These should fit in nicely at the Railway. Hangovers for Everyone!!
Matt were you able to auction some of your collection for charity? Place looks great a beauty contribution on its own.
I went to the local version. There’s a fancy name for this table. I called it a grazing table. With an open bar I know why I feel this way.
Wow Jim, That’s one heck of a Charcuterie Board.
