The “Trusty W” Is Back In Her 67 Year Home!
Well that was just about the most undramatic engine install ever done. And I must say, thats the way you want them to go. Dave VanNess and his amazing side kick Jonathan Smith were there to dial in the Trusty W while the Katz’s Marina team did the install. We arrived at 9 AM and by 10:30 on the water.

I have to git me one of those rails on my ceiling.
A couple twists and turns and we were on the road back to Jimmys barn to finish her up for the big week in Florida. We will be installing the floor, and checking some small leaky areas. But all good and ready to roll. We took a gillion photos so enjoy and see you all in 4 Days. WOW!

The boat in the foreground is Fiesty, an unbelievable Cobra!

Her home is all cleaned up

Team work is what Katzs is all about

Right in place

A nice turn out from the Hopatcong gang. Its always great to see old pals.

Dave and Bob Rice chat while WECATCHEM goes for a long over due swim

Backing closer to her heaven

She floats!

Dave and Jonathan take over!

Dave and Jonathan pretending to adjust stuff. To be honest, she started first try and ran like a sewing machine. A big huge flathead sewing machine

Water Test. Runs like a champ under load

Dave adjusting something

Zoom zoom! Bur Bur.

Adjust

Reverse works. And so does Bob Kays camera. Thanks Bob for many of these photos

Dock and wait

Back out

Seth takes the helm for a run and to load her on the trailer for her ride home

On her trailer again. Next stop! Florida..OK, maybe not so fast. We left around 430 after a nice late lunch. And that darn iphone said going another way was a lot faster… THROUGH NEWARK! WTF!!!!! Driving Miss WECATHEM through Newark NJ. She sure has seen some of the finer areas of the country these days. Yikes!

Leaving Las Vegas NJ as soon as possible

Manhattan! OK, ditch the iphone map thing. But I will say it saved us about 1/2 hor on the way home.
A huge thanks to the Katzs Marina team, the vanNess team, and the lake Hopatcong gang that showed up! What a great day on the lake.
Was Seth trying to drive with his hands in his pockets?
Wow. They left you hang’n out there Jim! one comment today.
Sure hope it lasts longer than MY Van Ness engine…..
