They Came, They Conquered, And Then, Left…. Some Shrimp.

,

Darthtrader, Jimmy and Gordon all getting the manfolds.

Yesterday at 10 on the dot, Bill and his pal Gordon, showed up and started tearing apart the Hemi’s so they could harvest some parts. manifolds and some brass piping. Gotta say, it was impressive watching someone just go at it like it was nothing. He had all his own tools and by 12 noon, done. Poof. And left the bodies for all the crying wives to cry over. Or?

Do you need a Hemi or two? They are in the trailer. Complete…ish.. Blocks, transmissions, one water pump. 4 single carbs, heads etc.

There is a ton…literally of good stuff here

Yes, I know these are not cheap parts, but for you/us. Trades?  Bill started it,  you finish it. He left some gulf shrimp he got in FLA . YUMmmmmmy… Otherwise I am making a coffee table out of them.  Love those valve covers. ORRRRR

Let’s just say that one bolt was a problem…

They are both R drive, and also 331’s SO? Oh, and at this point. You want a nut or bolt on them?  No, I wont go out and pull a part for you. You take it all. That’s the deal. Not the trailer. I am open to trades as stated. KBL, KL, for stinky. Can be in the same condition.

Wayne…bombing….

Oh, and no I wont let them sit here waiting for you to show up in 3 months. First come first serve. Unless you have a KBL? Then I may even deliver? Maybe a daisy chain deal, you know of a KBL, and he wants a? That guy has a? And so on. Be a fun Springtime adventure.

Bill Hancok ( Darth Trader) and Poppie. ( Poppie) and Hemi. and the tower. BTW, if you ever get a chance to meet Bill, his stories are insane. Racing history from the inside. I was very proud to be able to help in some sort of way on his project.

You let Bill take parts? Big mistake! Always make the first guy haul away everything, and then it is his problem to get rid of the leftovers!

So yesterday you said Hemis were being rescued & showed us pretty pictures of restored examples. But today you’re telling us only parts were rescued, to be used elsewhere? I agree with m-fine – don’t let people harvest the organs & leave you with the dead bodies.

There is still plenty of meat on the bones. All he took was the manafolds and brass pipes. There are two, so many spare parts.

    Trifecta road-trip!
Pick up my best friend Gordon from high school, head to the Railway hookup with Matt, Jimmy, Wayne, and Suzy. Trade Mayport Shrimp for Hemi exhaust manifolds. Eat fresh raw oysters courtesy of Jimmy, then head to Pettys to hook up with more pals.
Then Matt writes a country song to commemorate the adventure. Life is GOOD! Gotta make a call to Nashville and get Matt hooked up with a song writing deal.
The Railway is a man cave on steroids.

For those of who may not know, Bill Hancock is a “Living Legend”—–He has forgot more than most of us will ever learn about engines—-He is personal friends with many of the NASCAR legends—–He designed—-developed and produced the Viper Engines—-He was one of Chryslers Best Engineers——many years ago he got Hank Williams Jr. involved in motor sports and built several of Hanks Engines!!!!
If you ever get a chance, just sit down with him during a “Pit Stop” and you will be amazed at his accomplishments in life!!!!
He is also a Past President of the Sunnyland Chapter and is a major contributor to the Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival—-and also a Great Friend!!!
