Today Is A Good Day On Ebay!

The perfect color

The perfect color

Here in Virginia it’s cold and rainy, so its another day of sitting at home watching TV and looking at the computer. So of course we set our  course to Ebay.. And looky loooky.. What a great day! It makes sense, this is the time of year that folks say… Well, I didnt use it all summer, its gotta go! And buyers say, why in the hell would I buy a boat this time of year when all its gonna do it sit around. And for idiots like us.. and yes if you are reading this, you have it bad.. Anyway for us.. Its shopping time..

I dont like these matrix photo things on ebay, but in this case it makes sense to clump small details together.

I like this seller more and more.. This is all there. Very nice!

The time of year that prices are good and the motivation is even better. Today on Ebay though seems especially good. With one killer 1964 Starcraft. Over priced? Not sure. This thing is perfect, and very well decked out.. But it is what it is? Certainly a great debate. Here is the listing

The Rambler is also for sale. Its the perfect car for this set up.. Obscure and cool, just like the boat!

Yes thats a VERY Rare trailer as well. Amazing set up!

Yes thats a VERY Rare trailer as well. Amazing set up! The SA is for St. Augustine (the sellers boating club in Florida)

I have seen this boat at the shows and its beautiful and rare.. And worth $2500! Just like our old 12 ft Lil Suzy  Trojan. These are fun to use, but perfect for shows, since you could tow it with a Nash Metropolitan if need be.. Here is the listing

Trailer is a 1949 Gator Double Decker. It was a dealer’s trailer for “Bird’s Supply Store” located outside Florence, S.C. in the 40’s and 50’s. The owner Mr. J. Lewis Bird was a “Speedicraft” dealer. Trailer will carry a 16ft boat.

The Speedicraft would be a bargain except it is missing the museum quality 1950 outboard. The engine is everything, unless you just want to leave it on the trailer.

Wow – Two very cool and very clean classic boats for sale today. Seems like there are a lot of 1950’s, 1960’s & 1970’s fiberglass collectable boats hitting the market for sale these days, and many of them at very reasonable prices.

I found another sexy boat we will be featuring tomorrow – so don’t blow the entire college fund quite yet…

By the way, I would love to get my hands on the cool Rambler wagon, install some 20’s on it, air bag suspension and slam it!

Gosh Matt, you think the Red fish is going too far? I think it is quite campy. Would definitely jazz up any boat show if fixed up.

Texx, the ramblers were hot fraternity cars in the 60’s. Clue: they had reclining seats!

3 of the 4 boats featured today are perfect starter boats into the culture. The last boat is, well, possibly a sign that you have gone to far!

That last one in picture #2 looks like he tried to ram it into a boat house that was, let’s say a little to narrow…
