What Kinda Boat Would You Get With Your $640 Million?

, ,

Tonights Mega Millions Jackpot is in the $640 Million range. Are you in to win.. Your odds are around 1 in 176 million.. Your odds of getting struck by lightning by the way is 1 in 3,000.. But you can’t win if you don’t play.. Just think.. You could..maybe… afford a 5200 bottom job on a nice cruiser.. Oh yeah.. Have a house in Michigan, Florida, Tahoe, Idaho..Finger lakes.. etc… Create a Woody Boater TV channel and run 24/7 stuff on classic boats.. Take baths in Varnish.. OK.. thats not good. What would you do with 640 million.. OK wait its more like 430 million if you take it in the lump sum.. Oh wait no , after taxes its $293 million. maybe I will not do the cruiser bottom..

Texx, have you had ride in Justamere with Hamster?  If not I’m sure he’ll see to it in August.

I had the pleasure of going for a ride in Justamere with Hamster at the controls last August at Lake Tahoe.

My first ever ride in a Riva… And it was fantastic!

I’d buy a mansion with a wooden boat-themed amusement park in the back. And then dress up my pet Chimpanzee, “Mikey” in funny outfits and teach him to fetch beers.

And every night, my buddy Jim Staib and I would sacrifice a Century boat to the fire gods.

“Get me another beer, you silly-ass monkey!”

And, shoot taters at the neighbors and nay-sayers! I would also by that opriginal WWII PT Boat that’s for sale for only $1M.

Woah, Chad got into the Friday sauce a little early I see. Hey Chad, I keep one heck of a fire going in Hessel most nights. Let me know if you want to do any sacrificing at my place. It’s a BYOB and BYOV party: “Bring Your Own Bell’s” (Beer) and “Bring Your Own Virgin.”

I think I’d want one of these if I won the big bucks. http://woodyboater.com/classic-boats/starlight-express-realizing-a-childhood-dream-part-1-the-first-33-years/ Such a gorgeous boat!

BTW other odds you should know about. http://www.funny2.com/odds.htm Don’t know who comes up with the numbers so can’t vouch for their authenticity.

Speaking of odds, I don’t see any odds on the winner of this summer’s Shootout. Perhaps one needs to ask one’s bookie for those.

OK, now Chad is bound to win since he is the best suited to win .. He fits the profile for sure. I do like the monkey with a sailer cap though

I would get a CC 20 Custom or a Riviera and my kids want a new CC launch 22. I would also get a giant SOV flag and pay some drunk college students to try to raise it over the White House.

    • WoodyGal
      WoodyGal says:

The flag shouldn’t cost too much & college students you can buy w/ cheap beer. Why wait, do it next week, lottery or not!

  6. Alex
    Alex says:

m-fine, I’d hang that SOV flag over the freakin’ UN too!

Hell, why not buy a private island, call it Sov-land, buy UN recognition as a sovereign nation (we know they can be bought), and then establish the place as the new WB HQ. Think big people.

Enough to keep Matt on retainer. If he can make toilet seats interesting he should be able to make overweight bald guys into the next hot thing.

I guess I’ll break the mold here.

A 65′ BUDDY DAVIES SF with a full time captian and a plane at Ly airport on standby to fly me to the outerbanks every time the winds not blowing.

I know what your thinking but you’r wrong! They are made of wood to. HA!!!

  9. Alex
    Alex says:

Phil, you are killing me. Yet another marque I don’t know of. But at first glance, in pics, wow! Glass is welcome here, especially glass with wood trim, but it must be old glass. You know, the kind that wavers in the light when you rock back and forth on your feet. I’ll have to research this Buddy Davis guy to make sure he’s not some Gen X-er.

Forgive my naïveté if he’s a legend with legendary sport fish boats.

Its ok Alex there’s probably some sweet water manufacturers that us salt guys are not aware of. Phil, good call on the Buddy Davis. I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a Jarret or Merritt either.

If Mayer wins the lotto tonight, I’ll poop myself for eternity! He’ll probably hire captains to run a fleet of early 70’s Arabians by my place in Hessel until sanity and I part company.

First I’d buy up every pontoon boat I could find and then this as my final purchase:

Then throw the biggest Demolition Derby party ever seen! Every Woody Boater welcome!!!! Hopefully Texx won’t be found sleeping in one of the ‘targets!

Oh, I still need a Gunners mate and a Torpedoman — any volunteers?

    • Texx
      Texx says:

I like the way you think Randy… and yes, I would be available on very short notice to serve on the PT Boat if you send a private jet.

I’m wondering – How do you get a PT Boat from New York to Seattle? Through the Panama Canal?

      • Jim Frechette
        Jim Frechette says:

You could go that way but it might be more fun to go the other way, under Africa and on to Australia. You would need a personal tanker as an escort ship, but, you can afford it!

        • Randy
          Randy says:

Well Texx, there you have it — we have a navigator for our ‘crew’!

However, I don’t have a pilot for that jet. Could you research the internet for lessons?

Sorry Tex one thing for sure it would not be a Riva… I just don’t like them they look to cartoonish for me… (except one 21′ that I saw once ) There would be about 150 to 200 additional boats that I would go for and a Marina to keep all of them…
