Be A Watty Boater, Woody Charger, Woody Plugger, Circuit Boater, Woody Volter?
Still worried about your 6 volt bilge pump? Now you can throw it all out, including the engine and other stuff. Cause your gonna be a Woody Bolter now.. With your new nick name..”Sparkie” That’s right, just plug and play.. For a short run until the cord pulls out of the plug… All kidding aside, I have often thought of this as a bold option to those small lakes that only allow electric power.. 99.9% of the boats are lame small pontoon like things that visually trash the area. This idea and execution is close to genus. And now with the magic of electricity and the interneter, you can short circut all the logistics and engineering this took to pull off. And be the rock star that you are on your pathetic little electric lake.. Just click here.. buy the dang thing and send us pics of all the fried fish you have executed or blended in your wake.
Interesting!
I want to see the Bank of Batteries.
Clever and well executed, but JUST NOT RIGHT!!!
Very cool! And look at that bilge area – not a drop of oil to be found! Needs a speaker system playing gas engine sounds, including cooling water burble.
Have a look at the Bruce 22 that Montreal Classic Boatworks makes. Very cool!
Impressive
How about a gas powered generator just for noise. Ever seen an electric car move? they are silent and CREEPY!
Sounds like fun for a ride thru the Dora Canal, but would it get me back ?
No manly engine noises, no sale. Besides, lots of volts and amperage plus water and wood? What could possibly go wrong?
I had a Riviera once that needed all those batteries just to run the bilge pump. Here’s a tip, if the boat you are buying has 2 high volume bilge pumps and an “8D” sized battery (fits Caterpillar bulldozers), you might want to reconsider your choices.
Got to thinking….You’d have no winterizing problems and no ethanol challenges. Wonder what judges would take off for lack of originality.
I’m waiting for Neil Satterly with Elco to chime in.
I’d like to do it with one boat … what kind of power output is available… How many batteries how long does it run at cruising speeds… I’d want a small backup gas power plant to run it in emergencies… a couple of gallons of fuel that could get you home…
Solar panels on a sedan hardtop. Heck original is already out the door. And you can recharge your cellphone.
The weight of the batteries is…… less than the original power plant I’ll bet different waterline. What a horrible place to live no gasoline powered engines. I’m going down to the dock and just run the engines out of protest!
No one is suggesting nuclear power? While doing work at a power plant I discovered that electrical engineers are called sparkies and mechanical engineers are called flangeheads. They couldn’t come up with a good one for us physicists other than phizzies.
Be safe and inspect everything before going out no matter what it is you are floating.
Posting a reply this am got interesting. First I got a message saying too many comments posted and then I got a message saying duplicate reply. I started with 12 replies and found this one to be the 14th. Got server problems or is this a Microsoft problem?
This was the message I got the other night trying to post:

i see no use or point for this, fossil fuels forever.
It may be freezing cold here, but dammit it’s mid June and I am boating!
Here’s another classic. Seen at the Seattle Wooden Boat Show last year. Think it’s out of Portland, OR. Twin motors!
