A Perfect Day On The Water, Leads Into A Perfect Week Of Fun Stories!
Well, it happened. We had one of our allotted perfect days on the water yesterday. And I didn’t bring my camera. Just the iphone. I guess that’s the way it is sometimes. The good news is that I was able to enjoy the perfectness of it all.
We got started with a large fun group of folks and headed out to the Chesapeake Bay which was a flat as a pancake, 84 degrees and just perfect puffy clouds. Sadly though Stinky has a Prop and shaft issue. Her original prop had a slight ding in her and her brass shaft is bent. So we were not able to use her in the pancake fun. All part of the fun I suppose.
With readership very low this weekend we have delayed some very fun stories in the Que and definitively tune in on Wednesday for Lincoln VS Continental the ultimate shoot out between two Show quality Century Coronado, and Chris Craft 21 Continental Hardtop. It’s a Gull Wing classic brought to us by Freedom Boat Service, Then on Thursday we have a special Godfather Killer, from CHECK OUT THEIR NEW SITE! Sierra Boat Co, Oh Frado! And this week we welcome our newest big sponsor Halls Boats on Lake George, they have been an corner stone to the classic boat culture since 1928. So tune in this week, these are fantastic stories.
Today we celebrate your perfect day on the water. Or did you get the shaft like we did?
You think your classic boat is a money pit? Try cleaning up all the lead and mercury, probable other toxic waste out of that endless money pit. I have to say it would be cool to own a light house. Are you giving boat tours? Im on my way back north from Myrtle Beach and could be there in less than 2 hrs.
Matt, great looking boat, congrats!!!!
Looked like the perfect day. Have a great 4th.
The light house sits on 5 acres of land? I am having a hard time seeing it in the photos.
High tide !!! LOL
That header -that boathouse- looks like a scene out of a Wes Anderson movie. He should buy it. And Bill Murray can live there.
And just as perfect of a day in Sconnie.
I second the great day on the bay! We had our boat parade and ice cream social yesterday –
I LOVE “Termite Terror” and “WECATHUM” is simply AMAZING!
What other boats were with you?
Jimmys Mako which is the go to saftey boat.
Hey, anothe boat getting on the trailer video! Got my popcorn ready!@
It was a like a floating dog pound with three dogs on board. HA
The boatress understands that we have long winters so sometimes you have to double up in the summer!!
Way to go Suzie!!
Long winters in Virginia? You should try surviving a western NY winter…oh wait…
Don’t know if the line effect in the header was accidental or intentional, but very cool.
Enjoy! Whether you spend a little or a lot; they are made to USE!
Today on the 4th, we have East Winds at 9mph, so that means flat water out on the BIG LAKE, (Lake Michigan). Going to run up the coast in the Coronado with my Son Don, to Muskegon Lake and go to Dockers for a Rum and Burger…
We had a nice ride on Saturday up the Grand River some 10 miles, since the Big Lake was fogged in.
And on Sunday my oldest son and his family came over, and we had a nice slow putz around Spring Lake for a couple of hours, until a heavy shower came along, and ended the boating part of the day.
This is what I love about our area, cruising three days on different waters, River, inland lake, and then the BIG LAKE, all out of the same marina…
