Bad Stories And Reruns.

Rerun photo

Yesterday we got some helpful comments regarding the quality of our stories. Okay, my stories. First, I am sorry, I try.. Second, go screw yourself. Happy Face Emoji! All kidding aside. I do try. I thought yesterdays story was funny..ish.. okay nutsoish. From what I have learned over the 13 years and 5,284 stories is you all would be happy with just a boat picture and some babe.

Rurun Babe and water skis.

Thats it. But, how long would that last? I find myself getting board of routine. I am more happy when Mfine jumps in, John Rothert wants to go boating and Harrison writes war and peace. I LOVE IT. I hope after all this time this is more about a bunch of family of wood nuts saying hi to each other…

Everyone loves a shoot out. We should do more of those

As to Reruns. I have been told this for years, especially over the weekends. Okay. I tried a while ago. It takes the same work and is far less rewarding for me. I enjoy finding new ways to talk about our community. Some are fun, some are dumb. And during a pandemic and winter.. well.. I have had to resort to some extreme measures. And man oh man, do I have a whopper coming. The serial killer gene has reached beyond even my wildest thoughts. Stay tuned for this one.

Go big or go home

So, again, Sorry and go..well you know. And in what is an olive branch of love to all of my disgruntled readers, I have peppered in some boat photos so you dont have to read my crap. Then again, if you just read this..well… SUCKER!!!!!

Here.. Bub’s and boats. Everyone is happy.. Reruns? Okay, Happy Header Day! Enjoy! just hit refresh or the Woody boater logo upper left and an old header appears. INGRATES! Happy face emoji!

I always read WoodyBoater, I sometimes comment and occasionally I just move on. But I always appreciate your effort. No way could I do something like this for this long? Keep it up. Nobody can hit it out of the park every time be it advertising, surgical or craftsmanship.

I second what Rick said and add that this is your blog that you have successfully kept going for all these years, so don’t let a little criticism bother you. Woohoo!

I know first hand how difficult it is to dream up interesting content for Woody Boater, and admire you Matt for your daily effort, endless imagination and energy. Quite frankly, I don’t know how you do it.

I challenge any of the haters to provide some fresh content.

Keep up the good work buddy.

Don’t apologize. I like pretty pictures of old wooden boats and babes as much as the next old guy, but without your ramblings, it could get pretty boring. Great story yesterday! I’m a fan.

I’ve always said “It’s your blog, rite, wright, right whatever you want.”

Personally I didn’t see any real vile comments yesterday. Maybe you got some personal e-mails, or you didn’t like mine? My favorite days are when it all comes off the rails and someone ends up posting “What does this have to do with the original story?”

Anyway since we can’t hug each other during this ongoing pandemic we might as well hug a few trees.

Heck! I sometimes cant even come up with a comment on the days posting, much less come up with the original posting content!
Question… is there a way to download ALL the posts and comments chronologically ? It’d be great to be able to review and/or search the content as there’s so much good info thats shared here… oh and other stuff too… 🙂

As a great man once said, “It’s just a show, I should really just relax.” Keep up the great work, Matt! You give us all lots of good laughs, feels to distract and entertain us on the way to the inevitable burn pile.

Imagine the effort it takes Matt to read all the comments we write on slow days.

Do not stress over it Matt. No one gives their best performance every day at any job. Even your bad days are good. Look what you can do with a spark plug, A can of Black label, or an old boat crank. Keep the stories and pictures coming. Us commenters will take care of the rest.

No such thing as a bad story in Woodyboaterville. Your stories cover topics I’ve never thought of. Reruns? Ask me how the movie ended that I just watched last night-???
I don’t recall any reruns here!
    Thanks for every day Matt

Matt, you are incredible – for your effort, for what you have done for this hobby and for the consistently interesting and relevant content. Don’t ever doubt! Perhaps your problem is that you are so good, the rest of us just don’t get inspired to send in content for you to edit and post as often as we used to… It’s been great hearing from Texx recently and the photo he included of Curt Erickson giving rides in Miss Sydney brings back a few memories and looks forward to our all being able to do that again soon! On to 2021!

perspective: there being 5,280 feet in a mile…YOU…have posted 4 feet beyond a mile of stories in all these great years!
Think about that guys and gals…think about those school term papers that you could never seem to start or finish….think about having one of those to do every fricken DAY. I angst over my writing deadline for a QUARTLY newsletter… Then DON’T even bother to think about those who find a story not up to par…f… em if they can’t take a joke…and we need more jokes and more Going Boating these days…thanks Matt for all you do.

Hard for me to follow everyday like I use to. After picking up a couple of light commercial customers who need my sub contracting service seems I’m busier than before retirement. I use to keep track on my Iphone which I despise because of the small screen and prefer the desktop but I always thought, at some point, you might go to every other day due to the difficulty keeping fresh stories. Having done a chapter newsletter for 6 years with no story assistance, I feel you pain. I go back reading previous days posts but its seems pointless to respond unless its to the current days story as I doubt anyone reads comments after a day or 2.

Matt I agree with everyone that wrote in. I don’t know how you do it everyday. If it was me, I’m sorry. I read your site EVERYDAY. I have learned a lot about wood boats from this site Keep up the great work and THANK YOU (and Texx)
