Breaking News From California – Groom Looking To Surprise Fiancée With Woody

howattwedding_yachtclub_0001 We get a lot of special requests here at Woody Boater, and always try to help our fellow Woody Boaters on special occasions like this. Here’s the special request that came in via e-mail to Woody Boater HQ at 2:30 AM EST this morning and considering the circumstances, we thought we should jump on it quickly in order to help fellow Woody Boater Hunter Howatt with his problem.

If Hunter is lucky enough to find a classic woody to celebrate this special day, we would be happy to do a follow-up story (with photos or video) on the wedding cruise and honeymoon.

Hello Gentlemen,

I have a very special request and hoping you might be able to help me.

I would love to surprise my new bride with a short pleasure cruise on South Lake Tahoe following our wedding ceremony this coming Saturday, June 22nd.

Might you help me locate a Riva or Woody owner interested in taking us out for a 10-20 minute lake cruise, making our day so much more special?

Please feel free to distribute my contact information as widely as possible to your organization and members and any other venue or private owner you think may have interest in the Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas. I have attached a flyer describing the details.

Because it is the 11th hour I would gladly also offer up a finders fee for successfully connecting me with a Riva/Woody owner and making my dream come true on this special day for me and my new bride.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you so much for your time and efforts!

Many Thanks,
Hunter Howatt

Damn, he wants a Riva, aint it always the case! Those Riva and Donzi guys just burn my britches. I guess they don’t want to get wet in my little sportsman. Plus a 20 min. ride with a B may only get them just out of the marina. (And I’m on the wrong coast.) Best of luck to them.

Im with Rick on this one. I would think a utility would be more to her liking with all that dress.

Do they even allow utilities on Tahoe? I would think he is asking for a Riva since they are more common and at the lower end of the price spectrum. All things are relative 😉

Unfortunately, I can’t help this week. Got a wedding to attend in B-lo.

Hey Fine – check the header photo today, shot on Tahoe, no less! Not only a utility, but a sedan – the most plebeian of them all. Plus, it is a 25 SP!

Hmmm, that looks like the one that ran out of gas and caused the locals to write up the “no utility ordinance” a few years back.

New Brass Bell arrived today just when I was thinking I needed something to read. Looks slick, nice job to all who had a hand in it.

I think the post office hates me. Probably something NSA heard me say on one of my un-monitored phone calls.

Wait. The header reads he want to “surprise her with a woody”???
What else did she expect on her wedding night?

Hey Hunter, that’s my boat in your poster and we do lots of wedding cruises over here. I’d be happy to help you out but getting the boat to Lake Tahoe for this Saturday could be a problem…. Hope you are successful in finding a fantastic woody for your wedding cruise.
