Classic Boat T-Shirts, Caps, and Water Bottles. We Are Almost There.

The Northeast is getting a pounding of snow today, and I thought… lets look forward. Lets look forward to Lake Dora, to sunny days, SPF 40 and the glorious sounds of flat heads gurgling through the warm waters of summers gone by.So I thought I would give everyone a peak ahead.. We are almost ready to unveil the new 2010 Woody Boater line of swag. The Captains hats that were ordered a while back are almost ready. We are already taking orders for the next round. We need 6 more orders. You can read about the search by clicking on the hat banner on the right side of the page here. The baseball caps are being done up for delivery here in 2 weeks, in Black, Khaki and off white with New Old Stock Patches made by Lancaster boat company. Thirst Aide – Thirst Extinguisher 20 oz water bottles designed from vintage fire extinguishers are here in the office in a barn find brass color ready for Mt Dora. Nothing is for sale yet. The grand sale will happen in Lake Dora. Now… T shirts. As many of you know, we made 25 T Shirts each year and handed them out at Lake Dora to loyal readers. last year they were gone in about 5 minutes. Who would have known? All you did, but not me… So this year We decided to make roughly 75. In three designs, and offer them for sale to cover all the costs… All the stuff we are making is done a cost, plus what it took to get it done. Obviously not a money making venture here… But I suppose in the tradition of Classic Boating, it fits… I am asking for feedback on the tshirts though before we print them this week. I have more designs than need be. So here goes. They will all be two sided by the way. One side with the art, the other with the Woody Boater logo.

I don't much like any of them…too cutezie. We are mostly OLD guys…give me a nice, XL, quality cotton, conservative color, TEE, with the WoodyBoater.com logo. I really don't care about catchy sayings and stuff…now if you had one with a portrait of Joe Martell…now THAT is a different deal. See ya on Dora.

Got to vote for "Hug a Tree." Wish I was going to be able to go to Dora this year – I would buy all of the above.

I don't know the prices yet but they are sure to be the least expensive part of this hobby. Will have to get the tree and varnish T's. I'm NOT an old guy YET! LOL Soon but not yet.

Like them all but if there has to be a pecking order it would be "Sand-Varnish…" and "Hug a tree" for my vote. Given a choice they would be darker colors (navy, black, grey) that don't show the varnish drops quite as bad.

Dang. My Dad saw them already. Now what am I going to get him for Christmas!

Hug a Tree and Sand/Varnish are my favorite designs, but all are great! How about red, blue, dark green, mahogany, orange or turquoise for possible T-shirt colors? Whatever you do, we will buy them, wear them with pride until they are ragged and think of you fondly when we pull them out of the closet! Save me an XS?

Damnit, WHY DO THINGS HAVE TO CHANGE, I like my old truck, I like my old wood boats, and I like the OLD baby sh-t yellow ORIGINAL Woody Boater T shirts. If I had seen this comming I would'nt have varnished in mine, but NOOOOOOOO I thought SOME things should be special and never change!!! Hey here's a novel idea, lets have a few made (originals) for old times sake, and I'll take 3-2XL 2-XL and 2-L.
That way I can work in my old one and one new one, ware one to boat outings and store one till they are a collectors item, and sell it for a kazilluan dollars on ebay.

Will have to put some away for posterity. That way if someone says they were never available in lets say orange we can pull out an unrestored original and prove one way or another. As an alternative more color pictures so black and white ones are not being interpreted. And boy his name now escapes me (getting old) but maybe a t-shirt can be signed by the ever elusive never found expert. That should just about cover everything.

So, can we order one if we're not gonna be at the boat show. And By the way, there are some young guns in this hobby. I'm only 21. Some of us know about the good things in life.

Nice Tee Shirts. Heaven is a full boat house is my favorite, varnish, go boating 4 to 1 is a nice slice of reality. " I have wood boat disease maybe contagious" or "My woody lasts more than 40 years" or "Wood boats, I'll show you mine if you show me yours" or "I'd Rather Be Floating"
