Damage Report?

Part of the text reporting last night
Last night the Woody Boater Board was on fire, text messages from all over Fla and other areas reporting in. I dont have any images to show, but from what I read, sounds like Naples and Fort Myers got it bad. Even one report that a fellow Woody boater got flooded in Naples and might have lost a Shelby GT350. But until I hear it or see it from the folks involved its all just text message chatter.

This went on all night.
So today, if possible can we report in from our areas and let us know. We are here to help, possibly find some help in your area. You are not alone here in Woodyboaterville. Like it or not. Stay tuned and hopefully everyone made it through.
Good here in the ANE!
Looks like Melody is going to get very wet in the next few days as she sits on the hard in Belhaven, NC. Ian should hit south of her, so I don’t expect her to get blown off her stands.
The reports that I am getting from friends and family in Florida are good. All are safe. Repairs to be done, but that is all stuff that can be replaced.
Hope everyone is OK, and property damage minimal. Looks like the nasty side of Ian stayed well south of Dora, but they are getting a ton of rain.
We will be last gasping on Saturday so already looking forward to Sunnyland!
No damage in Tarpon Springs. Just some sticks and leaves.
No power outage.
Haven’t been to the boat yet today, but haven’t had any reports from fellow boaters there.
We got lucky
That would really suck if the Shelby was hit, salvaging a car after salt water flooding can be a lost cause. What I don’t understand is how someone (with the means) doesn’t ship a car like that out of harms way. It’s certainly worth it financially. I saw what looked like a Lamborghini flooded up to the windows on the news, you got that kind of money and you just wait for the s–t to happen? They were warned, there was time to make arrangements. We will all be paying more in insurance premiums again.
Just saw a news video identified as in Mount Dora showing an airboat rescuing family members apparently and dropping them off on higher ground. I would have thought these inland towns would have been easier on residents. With all the small lakes in the Mount Dora area that may not be the case.
Looks like Ft Meyers area got hit really bad. The storm took out a section of the causeway leading out to Sanibel Island. No Electricity on the Island, and if you stayed your trapped. A good friend of mine’s sister just bought a place in Ft Meyers Beach. She has not even been down to stay in it yet. I have not heard from him about it. I hope it is still there.
Heard from a friend in The Villages, that they were lucky. No damage & didn’t lose power.
An extended family member is currently in Ohio, but said word on her condo is minor wind damage & the power is off. It’s 5 miles inland, in the Naples area.
My dad is still home in Ohio & hadn’t yet heard anything on his RV site in Titusville.
Hope all the WoodyBoaters are safe.
