This past two weeks I have tried to slow down. I have only taken time off work for two weeks a couple times in my life. It seems like there is always something to do. And needs to get done, or I gotta get to that soon. The weather here in Virginia, has been amazing. 70 degrees and sunny, sorry rest of the USA.

It’s just the Boatress and I and as lonely as it can be without family around, it’s time to focus on nothing. Its amazing when you really have nothing to focus on when all you seem to do is have something to focus on. Trust me, that made sense. To me.

Okay, this fence was a bit of work. But with my pal Wayne was fun. of course Wayne was confused when I thought of putting 5200 on it, and wanted to use Silicone Bronze screws.
Anyway, according to our stats you have been doing the same this weekend. Getting out there and being with loved ones. Even if that loved one is yourself for a moment. And yes, that made sense as well. I think.
Good for you – we all need it at some time. Enjoying a beautiful morning overlooking flat water in northern Michigan with a hot cup of coffee while everyone else is still sleeping. Boats are launched and they all worked!!!! Nothing to do today but relax.
The only issue is the high water- may have to start on the ark soon.
Use 5200 on that Ark!
Having lots of family in today. For the last two days, been doing a whole lot of something in preparation for doing a whole lot of nothing.

Great photos Matt. I signed up to work this weekend chasing that extra mahogany money, to good to pass up. 😁. I am with loved ones though , an uncle and my father. Should be done around noon time here and then I head home. At least tomorrow is a day off. Reedville looks gorgeous right now. Happy Memorial Day weekend.

True, Windsor is south of Detroit, but the other (really big) place where you can go from the US to Canada on a northerly heading is Alaska. Although the bridge in the picture is definitely Michigan.

You are beginning to get it Matt….I like you am just really learning this slow down thing. Having my 6 knot boat helps!
We did a slow cruise for one night in Mobjack Bay and then two windy and rough nights at the great Riverwalk Marina in historic Yorktown Va. Lots of lookers at my boat…or maybe it was really my youngish girlfriend Bethany…?? At any rate it was fantastic….and will do more in future we hope.
