Oreo -13 Weeks Old - The Official Woody Barker!
While we wait for the report from Willmer, we thought we would share the latest addition to the Woody Boater Community. Meet Oreo! She is 13 weeks old and full of spit and vinegar. She rips up everything in site, and LOVES the water and I swear her tail wags 24/7 . Here at Woody Boater, we are big fans of the 4 legged boaters. Hopefully little Oreo will enjoy her sunset cruises as much as we do. Now I just need to find little boat shoes for her.. OH god..

BUT, please have mercy on that poor dog, NO SHOES!!!!!!! The only clothing a dog should have to wear is a nice collar.
No kidding, gladly she has very furry paws. This breed loves the water shoes would ruin her ability to swim.

We set out to find another Portugese water dog. The ones we saw were nuts! Then these little gals came out in the yeard. the boatress was over taken, little oreo was a stich.. Won all our hearts. She is a havana Silk. great agility dog and love water. 15 lbs max. And no dorky hair cuts like you will find on line. She will be a rag mop..
Great Looking “boat dog”. Based on personal experience with our 12 year old “boat dog”, once you take her for a couple rides, you will never get away from the dock withour her. Our’s will come off the end of the dock and swim to the boat if you leave without her!
Havana Silk? Hey Mayer, Matt managed to get a DOG from Cuba. And here you couldn’t even get a Cuban beer. How pathetic is that.

Congrats Matt! A great dog gives its owner(s) a hundred reasons a day to smile, if you pay attention and add ’em up. All from observing and joining in the childlike joy and unconditional love. (Best seen and shared when you take long walks with him, leaving the iPhone at home.)
The White House dog is referred to as the “First Dog.” We need a similar title for the WoodyBoater one. Anybody have any suggestions?

I miss my old Cocker Spaniel – he was the star of the show when we would take “Tango” through the locks and he was sitting there proud and happy on the engine box. – Sheesh- that was 24 years ago!

Ruby is Suzy’s Pepe is the family dog, and Oreo still needs to decide. Its all about the food
