We were participating in the Manotick and Classic Boat Club’s “Last Run of the Season” in October 1998 on the Rideau River aboard Miss Muskoka. It was also my very ‘Last Run’ in Miss Muskoka. She was sold the next day to Lee Anderson, Land of Lakes MN via Todd Warner. I had our club’s photographer, Frank Phelan, take some pictures to cover the event. This picture is my favorite of the photo shoot.”

Thats Bobs slip at the lake. Yup, no water. This year as part of a planed drain of the lake, no last gasping, but ya get to fix your docks and retaining walls. Lost sausage and pappers subs? ?

Hey Bob, perhaps you should change the sign at your dock to read “No Danger, No Ice.”
Better get that water back up or it’ll be a bumpy ride for the Hopatcong iceboaters.
The plan is to begin allowing the lake to refill in mid Dec, until the ice forms. I put the sign up trying to be optimistic and I did not want to put it up in bone chilling cold.The water is down 60″, the main lake has plenty of water for the ice sailors, just a smaller area until the water comes back. Last weekend there was a lake wide clean up of the exposed bottom. A group of divers volunteered to clean up deeper spots. I would love to get them to look for the woodies that were sunk to get rid of them back in the day. This a the view from our dock last weekend
