Its Over. The End. Fineto. An Deireadh, Slutningen, La Fin. Das Ende, Gasp, Cough Sputter Over!

Thats it! CUT AND PRINT
Well it happened. Next drink of lake water is “hopefully” Lake Dora. Come on Vaccine! I am gonna run around without a mask and lick the street. Okay.. maybe not. Yea, maybe that was a tad dramatic. My emotions are running high and low. We only have one boat in the water. I feel so naked. So exposed. What if I need to go faster than 5 knots?

I did a little roading! I was not leaving the boat. I dont trust the fake weather. They just magically made up the good weather.

Thats me, in a varnish intoxicated state of happiness.

Clean up time!

The Katzs finish is still amazing.

YANNON went home to Jimmys Barn.

Backing in to her den
RIP Summer of 2020 you physico bitch! Okay, once again, I went to far. Hey it’s not like Summers whacko sister ” Fall 2020″ is normal either.. And holy crap. WINTER 2020.. Christmas Hurricane? Ice Tornados? Another election?
See ya in Dora
Can not wait for Dora and the St. John’s River run. See you all there
With the vaccine, you can rechew that wad of gum left under park bench.
Dora for sure! Wish my boatress and I could do our annual Keys trip in Jan. or Feb….but looks like a lost cause….buck up fans…Go Boating….solo and safe with loved ones.
John in Va.
I feel your pain, Molly-O was lifted and put on her beams two weeks ago. However my solution was to head south to Astor FL on the St. Johns River, which is about 50 miles east of Mt Dora, and launched my newly acquired 1996 20 ft. Maxum, I know its TUPPERWARE, but its a boat.
I wonder if they will allow a 24 year old plastic-treed craft on the St. Johns River Cruise?
Big secret but many of us also own a Clorox bottle or two. Keep this on the down low.
Yeah, I own one too. But it has been put away for awhile. You have to admit Clorox boats are great user boats.
Art:
By the time the St. John’s Cruise comes around your 1996 Maxum will be 25 years old which is considered a “Late Classic” by the ACBS.
Having run the St. Johns in a glass boat I can tell you that everyone was glad to have us along.
Larry Nichols, aka Captain Kidder, ARRRGH! and Pumpkin took his 1974 XK-19 on the S bound St Johns river cruise in 2009. It took many months of polite persistence to get permission to be the first fiberglass and first I/O on the cruise. We had a blast!
Season is over for me. Both boats pulled and Panther is on a new gravel pad. First year not inside but I sold off the property that I had housed her in.
Shouldn’t you own an outboard that self drains in the lift with no need to worry about winterizing for the three or four cold days you MIGHT get in Virginia? Either that, or have Jimmy put anti-freeze in the new V8’s fresh water cooling system so she can be your year round boat.
The Chesapeake water has stayed primarily liquid since 1977, so I see no reason for you guys to have to last gasp like us stupid Northern folks. Order some wool products from Faribault and go boating!
You forgot about sharknados…..
It’s nice being able to truly picture (and appreciate) Reedville as well as your digs now. Also, all three of your boats. 🙂
