Yesterday we got reports in from the West Coast Symposium. These type of events are a very important part of what the ACBS does. OK, OK, it’s also a great excuse to get together , have some laughs and talk about whats going on in the hobby. And for folks new to this, a fantastic way to find out that your not the only one that has no idea what there doing when it comes to Propeller design. But, thanks to John Flaherty who knows props, the mystery of prop design came into focus. And yes, we do see the irony that he is out of focus.

One of the best parts of going to these events are the pre events. Shhhhhhh, don’t tell anyone, getting a ride in a cool boat is worth the trip alone. So here is Miss Sydney, She is a redesigned, recreation, of a Ventnor gentlemans race boat. Four of these hulls were built in Australia by Paul Duhurst. All made it to America, and surface from time to time.
