Merry Christmas Woody Boaters! OK What Did Ya Get?
Well, I am sure you have been told countless times by your loved ones that you are impossible to get gifts for, and you act like a 12 year old. So. Knowing that, lets embrace that and share what we got! Did ya get that orbital sander you always wanted.
How about that 3 inch copper pipe you told Santa you wanted instead of a lame tie? Maybe you got a lame tie, with a Chris Craft logo on it? That one will never be worn again by the way. Did you use the holidays and desperate spouse to leverage a boat? Where you that lucky? Today share away. And we all get to share the joy of the day.

Ironically they could use a stronger bottom!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Matt and all of the great folks of WoodyBoaterville from the Michigan chapter. We wish you all sunny skies and flat water for the New Year! See you in Algonac in June.
Merry Christmas everyone! Matt great header today.
Congratulations to you & Boatress on 30yrs.
Sorry I only find time once a week to catch up on the site. But I do go back and look at the whole week each time.
You do a great job promoting our hobby. My kids still give me a lot of ribbing for following Woody Boater.
I wouldn’t sweat the drop in visits. Keep up the good work!
The family loves the Continental, but I get ribbed for its lack of tunes and cup holders. They solved the former by getting me a water resistant, rechargeable, bluetooth Bose speaker to stream music from the smart phone, to take on the boat when we want music!
And Merry Christmas everyone!
My new Brass Bell was in my mail box Christmas Eve, so I’ll be kicking back today and reading about Mr. WoodyBoater. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone
Enjoying some delightful coffee varnish in my new mug before the family wakes up!
Last night, with my wonderful wife’s insistence, I bought the ladder from Freedom Boat Service. I then sent a email last night asking a question and would you believe Dave Bortner REPLIED, on Christmas Eve! What service!!! I didn’t expect a reply until January!
Merry Christmas!!!
Dennis,
You won’t be disappointed with ladder. I used mine all season (wet launch) and it worked great !
Dennis:
I have to agree with Mark on this. I have both ladders and they are GREAT! Dave is an amazing guy! One of the real pleasures of being involved in hobby/lifestyle/addiction is meeting people like him.
I have similar standoffs on my ladder and added a carpet wrapped treated 2×4 to relieve pressure points on 57 year old plywood. Also added a line that I clip on and off in the boat as I’m sure this ladder won’t float when it escapes my grasp!
1960 CC Cavalier
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! I’d like to thank everyone who sent me treats cause it’s the right thing to do. But especially aunt Jenny and uncle Joe from Algonac for the duck treats. The rest were diet treats. I’m not fat, my human is!
Santa brought Game of Thrones blu ray box set inside a new TARDIS backpack. Time to nerd out. LOL
Merry Christmas to all…Santa has warm weather for us. It’s expected to reach 79 in Tallahassee today. Don Taylor says it will be 82 down in Mt. Dora. Guess neither of us can expect any snow.
Merry Christmas to all! Nope, not GOING BOATING until Wednesday……but a warm and nice Christmas Day in VA.
Congrats to Matt on the spread in Brass Bell, which arrived!!!
But if he has truly been hitched to the Boatress for 30 years…shame on him for marrying a ten year old.
She still looks like a fresh varnish job.
Dora is coming…..keep the faith.
John in Va.
Funny you should mention a Random Orbital Sander…..
How about a 1949 Greavette Streamliner?!
Merry Christmas y’all. That’s a limited edition key wind Sutcliff with box.
I got a big peanut butter flavored rawhide bone and a super tough alien toy with 8 squeakers in his feet.
My humans got a lot of boring stuff that you can’t eat or chew on, although c-fine got a 3D pen that makes all sorts of plastic things that look quite chewable.
Oops, forgot the pic!
Merry Christmas all!
I didn’t get any boating items, but I did get a heavy duty robe and a Useless Machine.
My wife got me the perfect gift an attwood bow light and mast, I do collect this one so I did good, not this one in pic but one just like it, merry x mass to all
I got a combo “crying towel/work apron”for working on “Chug”or when I’m losing at cards.(BOO-HOO)
Here’s to wishing all a Merry Christmas in Woodyboaterville! I would be remiss if I didn’t congratulate Matt and his boatress on a special Anniversary!
I was blessed to spend Christmas in South Carolina at my brothers home. He gives good presents, keeps my glass full and his wife loves my docking skills! Check out his complicated boat house. Somehow, it just works!
Looks like a nice vintage PennYann Royce. Hope that line holds or someone’s going to get a headache.
Victor, she’s an early 50’s Thompson that my brother found in a garage in Charleston. Pretty cool! Hope your Christmas was a merry one!
Merry Christmas Woodyboaterville! Here’s to another great year celebrating “old boats” together on this site. Thank you Matt and Texx!
I got an I Phone 6S.
I won’t be able to say “Kirk Out!” any longer, but I should get much better pictures.
Merry Christmas to all you sons of varnish, and beautiful boatresses too. No barrelback under the tree this morning, but there’s always hope for next year! Spending Christmas with family was as much fun as a good boat ride.
Merry Christmas to all from the Netherlands,
My best ever christmas gift came from a friend from Germany. An un-built 1964 ,28 inch Rc Chris craft Silver Arrow in original package.
During 2016 with my incredible wife’s major support I finally added the garage/shop allowing me to bring the 1931 CC Model 199 “home” so that I can spend some quality time getting it water ready. Then for Christmas the attached “sign” and book/album of the whole project. I am a really lucky guy! The Chris Craft logo is from my parents 1963 CC Caravel that was too far gone when a cousin made an attempt at restoration.
