Oh Great, Now I Really Am A Crappy Boater!

Satallite map showing the run off coming from the north, dumping into the Chesapeake Bay. On the left is a couple weeks ago, and to the right is last week.. Thanks.. Ya ever wondered where you crap goes when you flush...when you don't forget to.... thats right.. In my yard.
Oh, here I am all being smug, thinking that all we got was just a hurricane and earthquake, while all our fellow Woody boaters were also slammed a week ago with flooding..oh boy… Well.. According to the news and satellites..all the run off is headed for… you guessed it..my house..all the mud, sewage and what ever else was in your water. NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, it’s now headed for my bilge.. That dump you took a week ago will be soon flowing through my small water pump.. Thanks. Could ya not have eat’n that Burrito Bomb, with the extra Guacamole, and black beans? Or your beloved sausage and peppers that you love so much.. All you folks in Philly, maybe ya could could have cut out a Cheese steak for at least a week.. ONE WEEK, Ohhhh now, gotta have some velveta and sliced steak… That stuff reeks havoc in my manifolds. So next time there is a flood, could ya just eat some nice frosted flakes..
After it all sits in the Chesapeake for a week send everyone up river a couple of dozen crabs. Being bottom feeders (no they’re not lawyers) they will have had time to crawl around in that stuff for a while.
Is this “Garbage In – Garbage Out”
I don’t know what to say except “crapy story!” Just what I needed to read before breakfast. Even the coffee was difficult to choke down this morning. A good reminder that what ever I leave here in Quincy will be passing St. Louis by the time I’m getting home.
Yup, a REALLY slow news day . . .
It’s been a fun weekend here at the Quincy Classic Boat & Outboard Show. Many boats came by to participate with us on their way to Lake Geneva, via Chicago. One of them was a 1957, 28′ Chris-Craft Cruiser From Colorado owned by Bob & Chris Ann (Smith) Praaf, Chris Smith’s daughter. Their boat is named Chris’ Craft II.
They launched their cruiser 50 miles downstream of Quincy on the Mississippi River and cruised along with our group that came from the St. Louis area.
Great…thats what ill be thinking about when im sitting on my boat in Urbanna this coming weekend.
I guess you need to move to a mountain top where you would be out of the way. It is more of the standard remedy. Dilution is the solution. Whatever is your timeframe, and whatever the matter it all ends up in the ocean eventually including the mountain.
WOW, Betsy winning best crusier this weekend would have been a better story than that Matt, looks like you’r in the crapper today:)
Are congratulations in order, Phil??? Or will we have to wait for the story?
Wow, look at the concentration of it in the Potomac near Our Nation’s Capital! I guess that is from the O’Bomber, Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, the lobbyists that own them, and all their cronies, flunkies and lackies.
Not to turn this into a pissing match, but some might postulate that elephants crap more than donkeys. I’m just sayin’!
Ya the dc crap is always there.. This city produces that every day without even trying..
