Thank You For All Your Generous Support!
Thank you all from the bottom of our hulls for all your donations. We are genuinely moved by all the kind words and financial support. This years explosive growth has created more demand on the old cash flow machine, and your generous support goes a long way in keeping it all going. If you haven’t donated yet, we have included the donation button again and promise to not mention it again. It ain’t easy asking either that’s for sure.
And let’s not forget, it’s Friday and the boating is just getting better and better. September and October are some of the best boating months here in the Mid Atlantic. Texx has driven on his motorcycle to Gull Lake to report live-ish this weekend. So stay tuned for a wonderful report. Also as of today, and it‘s subject to change as you know, we are back on the slate for this CBS Sunday Morning. We will blast out to the universe if its a go on Saturday night. So stay tuned to Woody Boater. Thanks again, and again, and again.
You are so right Matt that some of the best boating is just beginning.
Last night Sandi (my boatress) and I headed out around 8:30PM for an evening ride into Ovens Mouth. The water was glass calm, the stars were bright, the moon is nearly full (full Saturday night) and we did not even get tangled up in a lobster trap. Got home about 11. It was so Gorgeous I had to extend the ride down the Sheepscot just because I didn’t want to come home.

Just a quick picture over the bow of our boat 1953. 45 ‘ Chriscraft , (Woodstock ) looking at the Niagara and the other woodboats at the toledo wood boat show
That’s for sure, 85 mile trip and 650.00 dollars later but well worth the ride ??
It takes a team to keep the tanks full!!
It sure does. Thanks to a great team!
Some of my favorite memories of cruising on the Mississippi River were in September and October when the river level and flow is steady and the weather is perfect. I miss those days (but not quite enough to become caretaker of another cruiser).
Good to hear that your fundraising effort is helping to keep this site a reality. Believe me, your efforts in bringing us daily news and features are very much appreciated. It has become a household standard for many of us in the classic boating hobby.
The other day I went back and reviewed some of my “Destinations” posts from the early days, which brought back fond memories as well. They also reminded me of just how much effort you, Mr. Woody Boater, and Texx still put into this EVERY DAY! It’s amazing!
Donation done, nice and easy. My coffee taste better. Thanks for all you guys do and thanks to your Brides for putting up with it..
Happy to give a little back, but please don’t call me Mr. in your thank you e-mail next time.. 🙂
YA! And stop calling me Jesus!
It was Hey Zeus
