The fall/winter issue of the Brass Bell

Hopefully you are a member of the Chris – Craft Antique Boat Club, if not…sadly you are missing out on the best publication in the classic boat world. It is hands down the design bar to beat. It’s not just about Chris – Crafts by the way, Gar Woods, Hackers etc grace the pages of the Brass Bell in each issue. The other great thing about the magazine is that the content is relevant and useful all put together in a beautiful design format.

One of the articles is on one of my top 1 boats of all time. The little hydro that gives big smiles. Don Ayers did an amazing photo shoot of Tommy and I having some fun. And debunking the myth of how the boat handles.

The Chris – Craft Antique Boat Club has come a long way in keeping the standards of design very high despite a rough patch a while back. Congrats big time to a great group of folks and the ACBS for doing that. It takes a village for sure. The results are the best issue to date, and a very robust marque club. Another thing they have just done is to issue us all some great gift ideas,…. oh you didn’t get the email.. JOIN THE CLUB!  But we will give you one of the good ones, The official  2014 Calendar and to our readers a special promo code so a bit of the profit can go to support the club. Thus supporting yourself and the tireless efforts to keep the information flowing on the subject of Classic Chris-Crafts.

The color calendar is filled with vintage Chris-Craft boat images from past Brass Bells, and the club gets a $5 donation for every calendar sold. What a great gift to yourself or to someone else!

Calendars can be purchased on Amazon along with the rest of your holiday purchases by clicking HERE. Or you can purchase them directly from TF Publishing at their website, www.tfpublishing.com. PLEASE ENTER PROMO CODE: CC2014 to help the club!

Funny how you mention under the picture of the artical how Miss Step “gives big smiles”, but both you and Tommy look really angry in the header.
Can’t tell if your mad at the boat or eachother.
Unless of course you were just asleap.

    PS: I LOVE that boat!

Trust me, Inside I was like I was 12 years old again. Like a mullet hair cut, business on the outside, party on the inside.

HAHAA! I can’t recall what towed us in. It may have been the trusty cavalier with the 350 in it. It aint a boat show until someone gets towed in.. It was fixed in a jiffy and we back on our way.

I thought the hydro was a little rough on the kidneys? The header sure looks like you’re trying to remember the phone number of your urologist. LOL.

its hard to see but I have the bird out in the picture above.
I believe its an ACBS show in Geneva IL. it may or may not have had something to do with the judging. Hahaaa
