VA 1937 PU – Stinky’s Perfect Registration Number!

Stinky gets her new registration numbers and they are perfect!  This was the plan, and prayed that my personal note was appreciated by the good folks that give out these sort of numbers here in Virginia. And BAM! Stinky’s Hull numbers are perfect. Once she has her engine in and other details her new set of numbers will make her safe to go and now joins the family registration numbers with WECATCHEM.

VA 1948 WB for WECATCHEM just freshly put on by Alan Johnson

The Stinky concept drawing we did to decide style of numbers. Simple Aluminum like her transom

Matt’s playing innocent, no coincidence that he just happen to register on 4/20. 😎🌱

Way to go, Matt. We did the same thing with the Idaho folks and they were kind enough to dig out an old number for us that fit the bill. We ended up using a type font from the 1938 cc catalog on the theory that it at least reflected a type style in use at the time.

Do you send a request to the main office or just make the request at the county office?

Ha! I did that here in Va too……just told the nice lady at Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries that I had an old boat and wanted an old number….PLEASE! (sans donuts…but good plan)…

She gave me the perfect OLD one…..

I love the VA Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. 5 years ago I picked up an old Whaler as a project and I ended up with registration numbers ending in “BW”. Didn’t ask for them because I didn’t know that was even an option.
