Was Saturday The Last Day?

WOW! 72 no humidity, and a light breeze. Perfect woody boating weather. What made it even more special was not knowing if this was the last gasp or not. I know, we have gobs of time left here in Virginia. But life can always get in the way, and weekends are fragile.
My plan is to push it to the end this year. But was this the last of the no coat rides? The last of the wow it’s nice out here rides?
The boatress is always ready to have fun out on the water.
Are the rest going to be cold attempts to squeeze out the inevitable? Today the temp is superposed to drop 10 degrees and be cloudy.
Suzy will be ready for any warm weather.
How fickle the weather is this time of year. But when those magical days happen, will I be at work. So yesterday we ran the boat for about 6 hours, arriving at the boat house just as the sun set. The perfect day.

Dang! Beautiful header! Squeezing every last minute of good weather into boating is fabulous, having to winterize the boat in a hurry, clean out the bilge on a dark and windy night as the tempurature drops is not fun!
Sure glad you did not fall in the water looks cold, it seems like you were standing on the bow when these shots were taken.
With that new lense it was easy, I was standing on the floor behind the from port seat. Cool stufff.
Very subtle Matt. Honey you’re cold and getting wet back there? Well you wouldn’t be if we had a nice big dry cruiser. Of course the dog is dry up front and cuddled in a blanket.
Stop whining about the what-if weather when there’s 2+ months left to Christmas!

There’s a term for what is ailing some of you. It’s called “premature winterization.” I’ve read that it can be treated. Seek medical help, so you can last longer and control your boating season climax.

Its all mute now. Blew an oil line. That was the death nail. Oil all over the bilge! Sonofabitch! It happens every year at this time. She runs like a top all year long.. And then right we are on the fence. BAm, something really dumb goes wrong. Thank god the line is breaded. Slow high presure leak.
He hasn’t experienced the blown oil line to the pressure gauge on an engine that holds 14 quarts.
Remeber to clean the little holes between the frames and the keel where other things like to accumulate: Earrings, pennies, & beads from toys.

i’m a little embarassed to admit…we don’t know how to winterize an engine…
thankfully our boating time is finally here! august & september are pretty much no go’s down here…
and this weekend we didn’t make it to the intercoastal like we had planned to mess with the bikers, life got in the way again…(and i had worked so hard on saturday to be able to go play!)…so aiming for bike week 2013…you in, texx?
you ain’t kiddin brother, what a day…but today,monday, I am having to pull my cruiser on a travel lift for the first time in 15 years and am nervous as a Zumba teacher in Maine about the whole ordeal.
