We Lost Century Boat Legacy Conrad Adamski
We are sad to report that Conrad Adamski passed away on Friday.
From the Century Boat Club
To all – Some may already know this but it is with a heavy heart to tell you that we lost another Century Boat legacy as Conrad Adamski passed away on Friday, February 8th. All of you know he was a fighter thru his illness.
And just like Conrad, he didn’t want anyone to lose work over his funeral, so his funeral is next Saturday with visitation at Herberts Funeral Home in Manistee on Friday evening. – Dave, A&A Marine

Conrad Adamski worked tirelessly behind the scenes with the Century Boat Club and the antique and classic boat hobby, and was well respected by everyone who knew him. We would like to pass our condolences on to Mr. Adamski’s family and friends.

Well I didnt know him, but the pictures say it all. Im sure he is in a beter place working on Centurys.
Condolences to friends and family of Conrad, he obviously added a lot to the Century Club members experience.
Conrad was a true Thoroughbred. He started up A&A Marine in the mid 1980s to provide Century parts for those restoring Century boats. Always #1 in customer service and a walking encyclopedia of Century knowledge.
Lost a good friend of nearly 35 yrs. I remember first meeting him around 1978 in his office at Century Boat Co. in Manistee … I may have met him earlier but do not remember. Dad was a good friend of his back into the early 1960s… I got to know him very well over the years with the Century Boat Club & A&A Marine. Thanks to his retrieval of old hull warranty cards that were in the trash after Century Shut down we have decent records of boats built and sold.. The Manistee Show will not be the same without him…
Back in 1966 my Dad bought a new Fibersport. We had problems with the latches for the vinyl sliding roof. I would give Mr. Adamski a phone call and he would send new latches. Had to be at least 3 or 4 times in the late 60’s.
After my wife and I bought a 66 Fibersport this past August I was talking to Chet at A&A and asked about Mr. Adamski. Chet gave me his phone number and I called him.
We had a wonderful conversation for over an hour about boats.
Very happy I was able to talk to him again after 40 some years.
Our sympathies to his family and friends.
Conrad was a true gentleman.
Never met Conrad but had talked to him over the years about my ’54 Resorter 20. Conrad was very instrumental n the building of the Century boat club. I will miss him.
