We Remember From Sea To Shining Sea – Memorial Day

Fall-2014-14

Flags and more flags – Bob Kays and Relax- New Jersey

Today we remember and salute all our lost but never forgotten Hero’s. The good folks that have put their lives on the line, and paid the ultimate price. So today, show your flags, let us see the red white and blue plastered all over the comment section. Hopefully where ever you are, you were able to get out there a little this weekend and wash the winter blues away. Here’s to all our Service men and women! Lets try and get all 50 states!

Randy Cunningham poses with the beer bottle that got him in trouble. Cunningham was backing his 1965 Philbrick into its slip when offered a beer from a bystander. Distracted by the ale offering, he ran into a dock roof support, breaking his stern flag pole in the process. The pole was repaired with duct tape and zip-ties, with the bottle added later for explanation.

From the US Virgin Islands (sorta) as we’re currently on vacation in Italy. We visited the Florence American Cemetery yesterday to pay our respects. Over 4400 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice have laid there since WW II….they never came home. Col Jeff Buckley, USAF(r) and Sen Judi Buckley bow our heads respect and thanks.

New Hampshire weighing in! Wolfeboro, Lake Winnipesaukee. Sadly the Memorial Day parade in town was rained out today. The sun then came out and we flew our colors in honor of those who have sacrificed.

Watched Saving Private Ryan this weekend, to remind myself of the tremendous sacrifice people have made to pay for our freedom. What a price…we should be thankful every day.
