Never forget
Today we remember and salute all our lost but never forgotten Hero’s. The good folks that have put their lives on the line, and paid the ultimate price. So today, show your flags, let us see the red white and blue plastered all over the comment section. Hopefully where ever you are, you were able to get out there a little this weekend and wash the winter blues away.

To all those that sacrificed so much for our freedom. Especially missing my dad, Nelson Parsons, US Army WWII, Pacific Theatre and my father in law, Alexander “Bud” Walker, USN, USS Pennsylvania, WWII. They survived when so many didn’t. My dad always hard a hard time with that.
Survivors guilt is probably why so many soldiers don’t talk about their involvement which is exactly the opposite of what they should be doing. Always wanted to hear about my dads involvement in WWII and Korea as a Marine. But he never would talk about it and parents divorced and didn’t have an opportunity for those conversations a normal family would have. He was, as many were, not happy to get called up for Korean conflict pulling him away from a business and family he just started. That’s a sacrifice VA benefits never compensate families for. Simper fi to Marines and a big thank you for all who sacrificed.
Sorry…Semper Fi.
Always remember.
The Michigan chapter solutes all of our brave veterans. We owe so much to all of you!
Memorial Day started as Decoration Day in May 1866 with flowers on the graves of the Civil War
dead in Waterloo NY. It is fitting that it has been expanded to include the national flag on historic boats of a more recent era.
Beautiful photos of our country’s beautiful flag. Rest in peace heroes. You are not forgotten.
Great Memorial Day tribute…thanks to all.
