We Want To Sknow About Your Snow

Mr B and I in our Christmas matching shirts

Yesterday we got a couple inches, which was more slush than anything, and kinda just depressing. Then over night we got a bit more and now the ground is completly covered, but its 20 out there, and they say feels like 1. ONE degree.  Now I know, to many of you, this is a warm day.  But hey its all what we are used too. And for those in Florida. Enjoy your day of I told you so’s.

Just a pile of mush. Now ice

Mr B sure enjoyed it

Share you snow!

Up here in Northern Minnesota we thrive on winter snow and we have none. Last winter was snowless, and now this year we had a snowless holiday season. Our Moonlite Bay restaurant counts on boaters in the summer and snowmobilers in the winter. Artic Cat just announced that they are out of the snowmobile business! And big, beautiful Bar Harbor on Gull Lake announced that they have closed for the season and will open April 1st! Please send this weeks beautiful snowstorm up our way – it’s brown grass here.

When I sled, it’s woody all the way! My runner sled of choice was produced near my home. A Lightning Guider sled produced in Duncannon, PA. (Guider, NOT Glider!). Yesterday’s snow in these parts was nice, dry and icy making for perfect runner sled conditions!

About 15″ accumulated Sunday & Monday, here in northern KY. Birds seem to have found good fishing, where the ice meets the water kept open by bubblers at a marina.

Finally some snow in Big Bear Lake today. It’s been very brown so far and not even cold enough for snowmaking at the resorts.

Wish you could send some up here. Snowmobiles are ready to go, just need some snow. As for the temp, 20 degrees down there is the same as 20 degrees up here. It’s cold!
