Woody Boater Question Of The Week – Dec. 19, 2010 – What's Your New Years Resolution?

The Question of the Week is “What’s Your Woody Boater New Years Resolution for 2011?”

5. Enjoy Life More

7. Get Out of Debt

10. Get Organized

We think there should be New Years Resolutions designed specifically for Woody Boater’s, so here’s a few suggestions. But if you have your own suggestions, let us know so we can help inspire our fellow Woody Boater’s before January 1st.

“Buy a Classic Riva”

“Spend more time at home during the winter so you can go boating all summer”

“Buy your wife a new wooden boat and let her name it”

“Clean out the bilge in your boat before spring”

“Enjoy life more – on the water”


“Offer to take your wife on a summer vacation – near a boat show”

“Spend more time at the cabin”

“Phone in sick at the office so you can work on your boat”

“Offer to take your wife dancing in Tavares in late March”

“Go on a healthy diet of Cracker Jacks and Beer”

“Offer to take your wife on a gambling vacation to Lake Tahoe in August”

“Try to remember all the New Years Resolution promises you made in January”

    Increase the number of days that my hull is wet.
    Paint and varnish everything that needs it.
    Do not buy another boat till the ones you have are complete.

    1-Attend more shows.

    2-Stop using the blender for things other than margaritas.

    3-Turn on the blender more often. (See #2)

    4-Convince wife of need for bigger boat. (Helps if she is around for #3)

    5-Convince kids they need to pay for their own college education. (Helps if #4 works)

    6-Exercise earlier in the day to avoid conflict with #2 & #3.

    7-Consider AA intervention. Or is that AAA? Oh well I'll figure it out later, the blender is running.

    Finished a boat
    Bought a bigger boat, and said I bought it for you dear:):)
    Now that I have the bigger boat, guess I need to get out of debt, HMMMM does that mean I have to sell the bigger boat???
    Is that the blender I hear running.
    If it snows here next week I'm going boating!!!

    OK, I finally thought of one; To obtain a great collection of transom photos next boating season that might come close in comparison to those of Texx.
