Woody Boaters Remember September 11, 2001 With Their Ensigns Flying High
All of us here in the Woody Boater Community have three things in common. We love antique & classic boats, we proudly fly an Ensign on our stern poles, and we all remember where we were and what we were doing on September 11th, 2001.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of that terrible day, we suggested that if any fellow Woody Boaters had a photo of their Ensign they could send them in to Woody Boater and we would post them today, as our small contribution to regonize the 10th anniversary. People thought it was a great idea, and the photos started coming in. We also added a few shots from our photo archive that we thought were appropriate for the occasion.
This is not about the boats today, but about the people, families and service men that were impacted by the events of September 11th, 2001.

Please take a few minutes today to think about all of the innocent lives lost on this day 10 years ago, and the four attacks that have changed the country forever…
“We Will Never Forget”
A fitting tribute nicely done, Texx and Matt!
Texx: Nice job. Id like to give a shout out to my Canadian friends especially the 10,000 people of Gander Newfoundland for taking into their homes and hearts 6700 stranded airplane passengers that terrible day. Thank You!
Don’t Tread on Me.
NEVER FORGET………..NEVER FORGOTTEN
All I have to do is walk to the top of the hill and look towards the city and I remember everyday. Thanks for the flags and the Lyman header.
Thanks very much for including “Old Paint”. I wanted to be a part of this but was on the road and could not access my photo files at home. You guys are the greatest for putting this together.
Here one that I like these are from Allegheny Chapter’s fall river run 2009… Pittsburgh, PA in the background…
