The Woody Boatress Gets Ready For Her Big Avon Walk!
The Boatress would like to thank all those that purchased the Woodys For Boobies shirts and donated to the walk set for October 25 -26 in Charlotte. A total of 39.3 miles. The team practices every morning and has been tirelessly getting ready for the walk. In total Woodys For Boobies has raised close to $25,000. This year although the Boatress has reached her goal, the team is still lagging behind. But very close. If you want to help, here is the team page.
A big thank you to all of you that have made donations. Please consider doing so if you haven’t yet. Stay tuned for final amount.
39.3 miles? Yikes! That would take me 3-4 months.
Good luck to the team. My wife is wearing one of her shorts this morning.
SHIRTS. Who is the f#%^ing moron at Apple who thought it was a good idea to “autocorrect” perfectly correct words and replace them with a “more popular” alternative with a completely different meaning? iOS8 is a disaster, avoid it like the plague, or Ebola, or Enterovirus d68.
We love our shirts and are happy to get the chance to help.
Thanks for all you do and putting up with all of our craziness here on WoodyBoater!
PS: Unfortunately Sandi was taking the pictrue.
Here is Sandi traveling in style.
Thanks to Sandi and Troy for their donation!
39.3 miles is a good day run in the boat when all I have to do is move the throttle. You gals are tough! good luck to all of you.
And make a fuel stop to work out the credit card.
Since this blog is all about helping people out lets make donations to those who need it most! It all ends up in the same place.
Can the t-shirts still be purchased? I am a survivor and my husband and I enjoy wood boats. I would love to have one of your shirts! Thanks for helping raise funds for this cause.
Looks like there is a limited size selection, but they can be found in the WoodyBoater (Swag) Store to the right.
Hi Leanne, the store has some. But they sold out in certain sizes fast. In the spring we come out with all the new product. All sold in person at Lake Dora. Come on down, or over!
