Woodys For Boobies Yard Sale! And A Massive Donation!
The Woody Boatress and her crew are not slowing down on there quest to raise funds for Woodys For Boobies, the official Woody Boater fund raising effort for the AVON BREAST CANCER WALK this year in the Rocky Mountains in June. Although the team is much smaller this year than last, the determination is even more. Donations have been coming in at a nice clip thanks to a fantastic community. Today they focus on our local community here in Falls Church VA. With a mountain of stuff donated by local friends and co workers. We are also very excited to announce that this week we got a $1,000 donation, so that marks the high mark for the On Golden Pond ” Mariah US mail boat glass.

The original glass in the window on Mariah,US Mail... that was saved and donated to Woodys For boobies could be yours.
We also are very excited to announce a donation of the tracings of the Lettering on the transom of the Golden Pond boats, by Alan Johnson. More on that later.

This tracing and Thayer IV tracing off the original boats will be up for auction to help Woodys For Boobies. Would look fantastic framed in your boat house.
So pony up, its all for a good cause, and a huge thanks to all that have donated so far. You can make your donation here.
You realize that she has put out your desk and computer monitors right? I also see some chairs out there with the table already gone. She’s smooth that one, “Honey, I sold too much and now we need to redecorate”. It would have been cheaper for you to give her the money and keep the old stuff. On well, you’re young and will learn.
One eyed barbi? By that do you mean an Australian bar-b-que missing it’s temperature gauge, or a cyclops Mattel girl? I don’t know which, because I never received my Mecumesque-style glossy catalog in advance. Without photos of all the merchandise, how can your loyal readers buy from afar?
My mistake. I missed the word “doll” after “Barbie.” But that still doesn’t excuse the lack of a fancy schmantzy catalog. For instance, how am I to know whether she comes with a one-eyed Ken?
Further, does the Barbi come with documentation? What’s its provenance? Can it actually be traced back to the WoodyBoatress or was it just found by the curb during a drive-by? Can it be restored to “As Delivered” condition or will it just be a good “User” Barbi?
What about her original zipper?
Maybe the dingo ate your baby?
What happend to the old transoms? I thought they got repalced on the resto…….they wood be a cool auction piece for someones wall ??
I have to be out there now, I swear she would sell anything right now. Even my sons honda is on the chopper. She is on a mission. And the one eyed barbi doll is gone. What in the hell is that about.. All the junk sold first.
Matt – It usually is the crap and weird stuff that sells first. A few years back for my son’s preschool fundraiser yard sale, a parent donated a sheep shearing kit – in the original box even. Many eyebrows were raised but the next day, that kit was one of the first items to fly out the door. A sheep shearing kit in Portland Oregon???? Maybe a mom bought it to take care of her husband’s back hair. Maybe a dad bought it to take care of his son the hippy’s dreadlocks. Who knows – but we were happy to take the $50.
Suzy, thanks for putting the one eyed Barbie aside for me. Please send it to Hessel. My collection is near complete.
More pixels on the original glass picture, please.
Jane “doll” Fonda, at her best, getting ready to ride a Thouroughbred.
Giddy Up
I’ll shop tomorrow when the prices drop.
Did you notice the pair of white 70’s looking bucket seats behind the table?
I hope they are still there tomorrow…
