Why Did We Disconnect The Woody Boater Connection?

dis ConnectedIf you are paying attention, and really who is? You might have noticed that the New Woody Boater Connection is gone.. Gone despite our fellow Woodyboaterites wanting it. So why? Well.. It kept crashing the site.. And it became a spam magnet. It was taking more time to manage and deal with than Woody Boater. So it had to go. Was it useful, yes, were folks benefiting from it? Yes.. But not worth the constant crashes. We still think there is a need for it.Just trying to figure out a way to do it. Maybe once a month we do a monthly feature? We are open to ideas, which is a good thing, because I am sure some of you have some..

At this time of day my ideas all involve bacon. Tobler thinks bacon sounds like a good idea too.

MMMMMM Bacon & Eggs cooking in the Galley with breakfast on the Aft Cockpit of my Constellation. Water lapping and slightly rocking my boat, sitting with a cup of fresh brewed Coffee anchored a few hundred yards off shore watching he sun come up over Lake Huron! That’s my Woody Boater Connection!

The internet and woody boatin’ have provided me with endless interests to pursue in all phases of the hobby.

Unfortunately…..I have not been provided with endless time to pursue, nor, necessarily, the wisdom to use that time productively. Wait…..this is supposed to be fun right?

Spam is an ongoing problem on the Internet. However, I read this and then realized that I have an unopened can of Spam in the RV. How did such an annoying web problem become named after such a wonderful breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, anytime of day treat??? I’m heading for the RV as I key this in.

Crap! Now for the math quiz….

Using Woody Boater as a connection site once a month is a great idea. It would help to have it on a regular schedule, too. We could all save up our “needs” and “wants” and then let them fly on Woody Boater Connection Day. How about the first Tuesday following the full moon for Connection Day?
