80 degrees and balmy here in Reedville Va on the Northern Neck of Virginia. Perfect puffy clouds and lots of great folks out on the water enjoying life. Even Fellow Woody Boater Clif Aimes was out on his new..to him.. very cool 17 Sportsman that he just picked up from Katz’s Marina last week.

We caught to many fish! DANG! My Sons of varnish shirt is shot.. I wish I had a spare.. UGH..
Life does not get much better.
I’s a different world here in Michigan. 93 degrees and storms this afternoon. The Boatress is catching crabs from your dock while Marianne is feeding her pet Bluegills stale bread chunks from our dock. They come at her like a pack of perhanas when she walks ot there!
90 degrees here on Grand Lake, OK. Too many drunken crazies in big plastic boats for my comfort! Daddy Had One & I will go out for a lunch cruise on Tuesday. Foxes are playing in the yard!
PS I am really envious of those Blue Crabs!!!

And a happy Memorial Day to all those basking in the 80º+ temps, from those of us in the GNW sheltering from the 30 kt. breeze, rain and the 50º temps….

Tropical Depression Beryl dumps on Florida all weekend long. You’ll are livin the dream, we’re just watchin the rain bands float over us all day. It’s a good thing if we’re going to have another boat show next year. Our lakes are extremely low and need every drop that’s falling.
We’re enjoying 96deg. temps here at Lazy Days RV Park in Missouri not far from St. Louis. We could have been in the Woody Boat on the river but we chose the land yacht instead.
Remember to remember the meaning of the day…
The day started being celebrated following the Civil War as Decoration Day when war widows began decorating un-marked graves near their homes. It caught on Nation-wide; more than just a 3-day weekend. Pause for a moment and remember to remember.

Indeed it was a fine holiday weekend in the NN! Jane and I cruised the GW River but didn’t see any of you sportsmen. It was especially hard to leave for NoVA this afternoon. Back to the grind. Our kids in Savannah report hight tides but not very impressive winds or rain from Beryl. Is the weather service exaggerating? SAY IT AIN’T SO!

Must be nice!, got 6″ of the white stuff last 24hrs. Last week 70 degrees, kayaking on the Mighty Mo, this week snow advisories, must be the Montana Rockies!. Even though its frozen, its still H2O which we can always use up here. Hail to the Greatest Generation!!! Heres to you DAD! SALUT
