Another Rare Sign For Sale. Call Your Banker, Not Your Wife!
Yesterday this wonderful sign popped up on the same auction site that the Wallace Chris Craft sign sold. This is wonderful news for many of us that love these works of art. I will warn you though, this Facebook auction set up is not for the faint of heart. These are dead serious collectors, and the signs are perfect. And so, well, it’s gonna cost you. As a reminder, the now famous Wallace Marine Sign sold for $15,000 last month. Thats like adult type of money. But thats the world these days.
I do realize I may be adding to the hype. And do take some of the blame for increasing the prices of cushions. Which in a way was like shooting myself in the foot. And to be clear, the real fun for me is the find. The spontaneous part of it all. But again, different strokes for different folks.
You can see more signs here on the Facebook Auction site. It’s a live event on February 24 Click Here
We can also help you find a way to fund your new habit. Just Click Here.
Okay, I admit curiosity got me & I had to “just click here”. Fear of malware would keep me from doing that on most of the web. You can take pride in the fact I trust WoodyBoater . But I prefer my home over “sign money”.

To be clear on this auction thing, its a two day auction, Fri sat, and the Mobil sign will be auctioned on a Sunday. The aftermath event. Kinda confusing, and there is some cool marine stuff on the Fri sat sale.

Thanks Matt, really appreciate the kind words. Happy to answer any and all questions!
Hey William, any chance that mobile marine sign came from same source as the Wallace Chris Craft sign?
Hey Greg, unfortunately it did not, this one came from New Hampshire

Hey Matt, before the Thayer discussion goes away, I am wondering if you ever discussed the woodworking involved in modifying the bow of the Thayer (I, II, III, IV???) before the “crash” and rebuilding it afterwards?

Here is a story on the Golden Pond Shoot. The crash boat was in Florida and destroid by the Florida Sun. Only the two are out there today. Both restored BTW

Thanks for sending, great history, it was before I found Woody Boater.

I’d prefer the Wallace CC sign even if it was a repro over the Flying A. That triple image rocks. Now if I could only get my 2 daughters, one in graphic arts and the other in fine arts to whip out a copy before I die. Of course, they’re probably saying the same thing about something I promised to build them in the past.
