The outboard boat really should have it’s battery installed in a battery box. You don’t need something (like a tool maybe) to contact the terminals, and create a spark.
Granted, it’s an open boat, with no enclosed areas, but still…….

i don’t think my boats will see water this year, tornado had other plans for them.
