Happy 2nd, 3rd, And 4th

July beach wecatchem

It is a day at the beach

Woody Boats, and July 4th just seem to go together like Hot Dogs and Apple Pie! There is something special that happens out there on the water this weekend that just feels right. Maybe it’s that our Woody Boats are…well, so American.

Jimmy splash

Sure the water looks flat-ish, but yikes! It was rough out there.

Scream

Ahhhh

And this weekend is all about what makes America great, all the time! Fireworks, friends and family and eating until we feel like ticks. How was your fourth? Did the rain dampen your American weekend?

Boatress fun

Despite the rough water, everyone had fun

Well is was a great day here (Florida’s Gulf Coast) yesterday….A tad windy for the old….I guess it is old… Sailfish…It has a mahogany dagger board and rudder and the newer ones seem to have plastic. Some early fireworks last night courtesy of the neighbors who have to drive back to N.C. today..

Happy 4th of July. Tiger Lily is getting a break in the barn after a lot of running the last two weeks. Water Lily is doing lake duty this weekend. Have a great holiday!

Happy 4th to all our friends in the United States! Boat safely.

(We enjoyed our “Canadian” boats on Dominion Day/Canada Day, July 1st.)

Water is glassy in Hessel. Temp is 80 degrees. Low humidity. A perfect day. This is why we live here! Happy Independence Day to all.

Happy Independence Day!!! We are preparing for our first firework display with our littles this afternoon (tank battle, race cars, and the always popular parachute cannon!) they are 18 months and 3.5 years and both hate loud noises so no aerial show for them…

Due to a steady 15-20 mph wind thru Bellingham all weekend my only boating has been on the sheltered Lake Paden which does not allow gas motors… So I loaded the boys into great grandma’s vintage Sea King canoe!
