It’s The Weekend, Get Out Your Restomod
Sure it may be a tad brisk out there, but not on Lake Dora. GO! It’s warm and the boating is amazing. Go on the canals. Thats the magic of Lake Dora. Ripping around on the lake is fine and all. But the canals are the ticket. This year the ACBS has created a new category – Restomods. That means your hammered together dingy with a 427 in it is cool now. Ya, you had to drive it from the air cleaner, so? It floats, so it boats. I just made that up. Like a restoterm.

We are working…wait, Wayne is working on WHOOPS to get her ready
Its a free for all now. And I think it’s cool as hell. And about 20 years late, so in Classic boat time, about dead nuts on.

IT WILL BE THERE! You have been warned. STAY TUNED…UP
So drag out the row boat with your mothers Buick estate wagon mashed into it, and go! GO! GO!
The imagery your text conjures, has got me thinking!
No good can come from this! Been there, done that. That’s why the wife no longer allows me to ponder.
20 years late is a big understatement, but glad to see progress. Unfortunately, between the winter storm yesterday and the continued snow fall today, I am not really in the boating mood. Plus, the water is a bit too…solid.
We created a “modified” class for our Michigan chapter shows several years ago for this kind of very cool watercraft. Glad the ACBS finally did the same!
Is sound available on the header vide. The new website is A-Ok.
Ya know, ya give an inch and they want sound now! HAHAHA! Right now its background. Bill Basler who has been building all this, will no doubt chime in, but sound could be distracting, and anoying after it loops. Its about 10 seconds here and there. But hey? We are trying all sorts of new stuff.
Matt, I love that header of Troy on his Tupperware go fast. There is a one or two mile section of the Indian River chain of lakes in northern Michigan that is not no wake. It sure looks just like the times I’ve made that run. Good stuff!
OH I am excited now!!!!! (Like I wasn’t before)
Love the header vid today!
Truck is serviced and counting the days.
Counting down…..John in Va….going boating tomorrow…windy…..wait for the weather you new go…..
We have a similar channel between two lakes in North Idaho; the Priest Lake Thoroughfare. It does have a speed restriction, but no alligators.
We have one of those channels up in Les Cheneaux (MI) too. 45+ years of boating and I never knew it was there until a few years ago.
Is baby chick still available?
Restomod class. Street Rodding hits the water!! Canals are neat. I have been on some in South Carolina
I’ll try again for the pic
