Just be glad you have an out of state license! If you were a New Yorker you would also have to pay an additional $600 bad driver surtax or whatever they call it.

Maybe he’s a WoodyTrooper and will let you go. Or he could be a plastic guy and has been tracking you with your posts and just waiting.
If matt had large breasts and a plunging neck line on his short dress, perhaps he could get away with a warning. Based on the photos we have seen recently, I am betting he got the ticket.

Looks like a costly delay. President’s Day Monday means bail probably wont be set until Tuesday. Will St. Lawrence Boat Works be open next week?

Did he see your Sons of Varnish colors? I hope not, they don’t take kindly to that up in those parts…

Maybe we can smuggle him a copy of Wooden Boat inside a loaf of bread? Tell him not to pick up the soap from the floor in the shower while he’s in the Big House. Is it Coxsachie Prison up there?
Brian Robinson says:
Didn’t you remember to paper clip your Woodyboater business card to your drivers license?

I seem to get pulled over regulalrly in the US, but almost never get a ticket. I got stopped for going about 80 in a 60 zone last summer – It was was requested that I “pay more attention to the speed limit signs” and we were then sent on our way. Out of country plates – they probably figure the chances of the fine being paid are rather minimal.
The Elko Country sheriff from the craphole of Jackpot, NV (speedtrap town if there ever was one) are still pursuing Karen for a ticket they gave her for speeding on her motorcycle by about 6 MPH a couple of years back.
I hope you got off easy, nice to see the cops are keeping the raods safe, and the revenue up – LOL…
Victor Fabricius says:
I got stopped on n/bound 400 to Muskoka DOING THE SPEED LIMIT and got stopped because I had a radar detector on the dash which is illegal to my astonishment. CONFISCATED and fined $176. My explanation that I turn it on to prepare me to stop when the speeders suddenly slam on their brakes when they see a cop and I need more distance to stop a 7000 lb diesel van pulling a priceless woody did not sway the constable. According to him, it was “a good try, never heard that one before and I’ll be taking your detector, thank you very much.” If anyone sees a radio shack ranger x/k band detector on ebay that has Tim Horton’s jelly donuts stains on it, that was mine.
Paul H says:
did you pay the fine?
Victor M Fabricius says:
Yes, I paid, didn’t want to cause an international incident. Really love that the Canadian dollar is at par, at least for you guys.
Looks like they finally caught up wit you …. My last two pull overs one was a stupid thing I forgot to hook up safety chains. Don’t do this is Pennsylvania it is 450… (new rate a few years ago after two of three triplets were killed by a run-away trailer).
The last pull over before that was for going too slow on an interstate in Connecticut. I was having some trailer problems and was driving around 40… I was just trying to get to the next exit… That fine was not too high…
