Great food on the Dead River

Now, for those of you that have been there this will make sense and to those  who have no idea what we are talking about, this epic news will tell the story. Are you ready? Really, cause it may change the way you see this place forever.

Around the back

Right here

Sure!

Are you prepared. The Bathrooms have been not only cleaned, but some of the sinks are new! NEW! The ladies room is really done up and the Botress was mildly impressed. Which is huge, since thats more than she has ever been with my boat issues.

There ya have it.

Stay tuned through out the week for great stories starting Monday, we shot over 1000 photos, and are digging through some of the great ones. We also have some fantastic YNOT shots and a very cool race boat. Stay tuned!

Ended up having to go to Palm Garden by car this year.

Got a Kiss from Tommy Holm at O’Keefe’s. Peew. Better get a tetanus shot.

Larry, Sandi, and I ended up back at the cabin in the woods that we rented drinking Makers 46. Is that a banjo I hear playing in the background?

If I remember correctly, the women’s room was closed last year, so anything would be an improvement!

Wow, what great news! Now for sure we have to join you next year. The Palm Gardens restrooms is the deal maker!
Looking forward to more coverage this week.
As just a tease, we have clean restrooms in PH. More to come after WoodyBoaterville moves on from the big Florida event.

What a great show this year. Loss of dock space due to IRMA didn’t deter Terry and his crew from pulling out all the stops and revving up the imagination to provide something for everyone. Make sure to visit the SCAMPY youth mentorship boat-building tent for lots of last-day flea market tools, hardware, posters, Hess collectibles, and the unusual……bring your wheeling and dealing skills. Help support SCAMPY!

Took your Advice… Bought the unboxed Hess truck for $5.00…checked when I got home and it is listed on Amazon for $139…That’s the good news….You can also find it on eBay for $15. Even so, it’s a cute add to my collection.

I also bought the chainsaw for $10. We’ll see tomorrow, whether it works.

Meantime it was a great show !..We also saw a couple of neat boats headed north on I-75..

Hope all got home or are headed home safely.

OK – – a urinal in the ‘Ladies’ room? – – the New Normal? – – this place is a trendsetter? – – or is the ‘Ladies’ room also an extra men’s room on busy nights? – – or is this what we’re going to be seeing more of in the years ahead? – – Inquiring minds need to know – –

I think that is just for the “Gender Confused” in our society. Of course I always wonder. If you have a honker, can you really be that confused?

Just made it home to Falls Church. What a show! Congrats to all those that made it. We are all in this together and a huge thanks to Terry and the Sunnyland gang for making it all come together. Even Mother Nature made the best of it for all of us. We sold out of some items and sizes. But all in all one of our best years. I spoke with several other Vendors who said the same thing. Thanks again. Matt

Did I miss something? I thought Palm Gardens was for sale. Did they spruce up the restrooms in order to sell it, or did they sell it, and the new owners spruced them in order to pass health codes?

I second Matt’s review of the event. Making lemonade out of lemons, the Sunnyland Chapter showed they are made of much tougher stuff than Irma and put on a fantastic show. Mother Nature did her part to apologize by providing a picture perfect Florida day. We are so glad we were able to make it again this year and we will be back – hopefully with a boat or two to join the YNOT crew giving rides all day!

Jim, glad you made it….and all the rest of you that drove….I had the screaming and seat kicking kids from hell on my flight…worst ever. Did not dampen the great weekend with friends and perfect weather, sunnyland folks to be commended yet again.
My personal opinion is though, that Tavares should be told, straight out, that if they can’t get all the docks back up they are at risk for losing this great and historic event. ….they have plenty of time and good weather ahead…FIND the $ and get it done.
