The Gods Have Spoken, We’re Going Boaten
sometimes ya just gotta let go and take lemons and make lemonade. This weekend is one of those times. We have not been able to get away for some time and this weekend finally we are able to be at the river. A big wedding on the water is happening down the creek from us so there will be lots of pals around here in Reedville. But one the down sides of being in a rural area is crappy web service. We are not blessed with a good web provider here. I don’t dare mention there name cause they kinda got an attatude when you call them. Anyway. When this happens and it seems to happen a lot. I have to go into a corner of our house were we get phone service. It’s about a 4 by 4 space. That’s it. And I am able to broadcast from the iPhone. On top of that we have been dealing with such a massive uptick in traffic that we are going to need to upgrade again the server hosting woody boater. So Sunday night we may be down for an hour or so while that happens. Now. There is a bunch of cool stuff going on this weekend. In Chicago, bay harbor, St Michaels.. And I am in a 4 by 4 corner typing with my thumbs and no web! Ya think someone is trying to tell me something? Yes they are. I am outa here!
Currently RAINING in Chicago. Hopefully it’s better in Reedville.
Yup: I have to waste the day going to some snot nosed kids graduation party. Hey the math is getting too hard, had to use the calculator
Making a trip to Connectucut for this Fathers Day Weekend.
Wait, I am the father here, aren’t I supposed to be the one that chooses what we do for the weekend.
Seats aren’t finished in the CC anyway so hoping it will be ready soon.
GO BOATING!
well Matt, if it makes you feel any better, i was to be up in God’s country this weekend, working (I use that term VERY loosly) at the Bay Harbor (Petoskey) in the water Boat Show.
But NO, I had to scerw up Thursday Afternoon. I slipped and fell coming out of the side door of our house, and broke my ankle, The thin long bone that runs up your calf.
I am scheduled to go to a bone specialist Monday morning to see if they need to operate on it, cause it broke down by the ankle joint.
SOOOO, with the next 15 weeks having pre scheduled to attend 13 classic boating events around the Midwest, I might have to start cancelling some. But come HELL or High WATER, I will crawl to next week’s Algonnac/St Clair Classic Event!!!
Duct tape some rebar to your leg and man up! Actually hope you heal fast and don’t miss the season. Good luck
Dennis, so sorry to read this. However, that’s what you get when you try and sneak up to my neck of the nape incognito. Best wishes for as quick a recovery as possible.
And no, a cast is still not a valid excuse to buy a pontoon boat. Unless it’s a full body cast.
Wishes for a quick recovery, Dennis. It sounds ultra painful..
Dennis,
Sorry to hear about your injury, but get your butt to St. Clair next weekend, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure you have a good time. If you need anything, give me a call.
Greg
Dennis,
I’m pretty sure I’ve still got a wheelchair here somewhere. If you need me to bring it let me know and I’ll put it in the back of my truck and bring it along.
