They Ain’t Stoppin In Florida!
Looks like the Harrison’s, Funk’s, Hall’s,and the Dickes decided to make a week or more out of the Lake Dora Show. A smart idea and as luck would have it, the right week to pick.Reports were that the St Johns trip before was a wash out, but this is when the weather is great and so is the boating.
Meanwhile back here in the real world, I am back at work, wearing a jacket and complaining about traffic.
Looks like there is also ham on the burger.
Maybe that’s Canadian bacon…for the Shepherd owners.
Looks to be Canadian bacon the way it’s hanging over the sides.
Now that’s what the WoodyBoating lifestyle is all about. Matt, as our fearless leader, what the hell are you doing back in the office!!!
What?? And I raced home to bail Jaxon out. Still below freezing at night. Burger looks pretty good.
A quick health department check makes me wonder.
Jim, places like that keep your immune system strong and help replenish your gut bacteria. At least that is my theory.
Makes me wonder. Seen this sign and just kept going.
eating that burger give a whole new meaning to GOING boating…sooner than later.
looks like a great trip, have fun and be safe.
John in Va.
SJR north is better than ever. Wild rivers creeks enroute Ponce de Leon springs for the first time. Today it’s a warm swim and Sonny’s bbq at Silver Glen enroute back to Palatka
Wow it looks like we should have hung around the lake a little longer!
I must say though that our private tour of the Chris-Craft factory in Sarasota and lunch with Steve, Allison, and Gavan was a real treat.
Here is a little teaser for the rest of you.
I know these are not Woodys, but the current owners, Steve and Steve, have really brought the CLASS back to Chris-Craft!
Glad you went…It helps cement the relationship with Steve and Stephen…You were lucky to catch Stephen there…He’s more often in Europe..Keep in touch with Ally. She’s a great source of information.
If the party is fun why go home! Enjoyed the pics and stories from Lake Dora. If I were there I would stay as long as I could. Looks like fun.
I’m confused…Was the gathering with Hall’s, Harrison’s, Funk’s and Dicke’s part of the Northbound River Cruise ?
(looks like they were on the river) or were they just messing around Lake Dora and the connecting lakes ?
Gene’s comment makes it sound like maybe there were two event.
Anyhow it looks like a lot of folks stayed and had fun.
Is that real seaweed behind “shadow” in the header photo?
Wow, the looks of that ‘BURGER’ gives new meaning to the term Woody Bloater!
Looks like the Lake Dora to Lake Eustis to Haines Creek to Lake Griffin route. When I rode by Haines Creek a couple of years ago biking around the area, it looked only passable by small outboards. But, that may be due to low water conditions a while back. Water is generally up around there, it appears. Based on Staib’s research, I hope Harrison’s, et al are not in for a breakdown of a different kind (lower intestinal blockage or maybe just the opposite…unrestricted exhaust??).
Should have replied yesterday, but the fellow eating the burger is a visiting friend from Canada and his nickname since before I ever knew him (which is over 20 years) is The Wood. Proudly, he demolished that massive thing in roughly 5 minutes. It was ham on it by the way.
