They Are Shooting Baby’s Now In Burlington.
Well if that headline doesn’t grab you, nothing will. Oh how we all have become so desensitized to click bait headlines. Okay, okay, calm down.. Chris Bullin and Kent O. Smith Jr were out on the lake filming and photographing two of the most famous Baby Gars. Enjoy, I need to get stuff ready at HQ while no one is around.
Wow, just a couple knock out triples on an early morning run and a shot of mahogany row to die for!
Looks like they finally have some decent weather. Thank you Chris, Kent O. and Matt for sharing and enjoy the weekend.
Good luck to the Reedville show also.
A good day for Fall boating in Michigan.
Great video.
Any info about the “Meralco”?
An interesting boat I have not seen before.
I agree big Al I wonder what the story is on that boat, I also have never seen that boat.
It is a 30ft Hickman sea sled. Pretty sure that it has twin Sterling engines in it.
WOW!!! Thats allI can say.
FANTASTIC!!!
Sea Sled is 1918. Original power was a pair of 900 cube VanBlerks. Now running MBL’s with 2.5 reductions. Runs about same speed as original at 40MPH. Not bad for 1919. The Wright Bros weren’t that fast yet. Original delivery to Lake Champlain to same owner that would eventually purchase Bolo Babe. Most of the wood above the waterline was preserved. Fun boat and throws a ton of water from 32 x 34 surface props.
Thanks for the info, Greg. Sounds like a very cool & very unique boat!
Yes, another among many very impressive boats at the show. I may have seen another Sea Sled, but if I have it was a long time ago. Amazing to watch it run!
Nice work, Chris!
Was there, it was great!
Great fun to see the Baby Gars together.
